What can eight years do to a person?

In eight years, you could finish a college degree, get a job and build your career. In eight years a deep wound should be healed. In eight years people can change the way they look. In eight year people can change the way they think.

Yet in eight years, so many things went by, but Caloy remained the same. Always in deep thoughts, always in argument with himself, still loving the same person.

Yet in eight years, so many things have changed, but Josie remained the same. Always hopeful, always romantic, still loving the same person.

Melissa, the late bloomer as we call her, manages to change the most, her childish ways became matured, her shallow thoughts became deep, her carefree attitude, however remained the same.

"Josie, should I see her?"

"Let's talk tomorrow, let's meet Melissa before they fly to Maldives"

"Great! I need to go and pick up my documents sa office nila. Good Night!"

Dahan dahan pumasok si Caloy sa travel agency office nila Melissa. Sinalubong ito ng isang malaking ngiti mula sa isang receptionist.

Caloy: Good Morning Cynthia!

Cynthia: Good Morning Sir Caloy. Deretso na lang kayo sa office ni Ms. Melissa.

Caloy: Thank you!

Ilang hakbang lang at nakarating ito sa opisina ni Melissa.

Caloy: Are you sure you are married?

Melissa: yes! You were there?

Caloy: how come, they still call you Ms. Melissa?

Melissa: Hay Caloy, kahit ako hindi pa sanay.

Biglang pumasok si Gareth sa office.

Gareth: ewan ko ba dyan, hindi ba bagay na bagay kay Melissa ang Lee? Melissa Lee.

Caloy: Hoy pare! Excited ka na ba sa Honeymoon?

Gareth: Oo naman, pero syempre mas excited si Mrs. Lee.

Umupo si Caloy sa upuan ng dumating si Josie.

Melissa: Oh Ms. Josierie Pusilo, what an honor to have you here.

Josie: What can I do? Our friend here needed our support. Hindi makapag decide.

Melissa: Well... too bad! We made a decision already...

Kita sa mukha ni Caloy at Josie ang pagkalito sa sinabi ni Melissa.

Melissa: Gareth and I think, it is best time for you to see Anya. Besides it has been years, I'm sure by now, you'll just laugh at how things were.

Gareth: I hope you don't mind pare, but we book you a ticket from Sydney to Melbourne, its on us.

Caloy: Wow, that's too much. Nakakahiya naman sa inyo.

Melissa: nope, not yet done Caloy. Lee Travels Inc. formerly known as Gareth and Melissa Travels, made a reservation for two for a dinner in The Atlantic at Crown Towers Melbourne.
