You were taken by the Shinsengumi for protection. You never liked it there but your parents insisted you to go there before they died.
Currently, you were practicing your samurai skills for important missions or for sudden attacks.
"Yow!" You heard Sano called. You didn't mind him and continued training. You always get pissed of the guys in the HQ.
"She's as snob as ever." Shinpachi said.
But there's one guy in the HQ where you can't get mad at. As you describe him, he is handsome, kind, gentleman and a happy-go-lucky guy.
"Don't be like that. [Name]-chan is kind. She just doesn't want to show it." Heisuke defended. You heard their conversation and slightly blushed.
Sano and Shinpachi smirked.
"I-Its not like that. I'm just saying that she's kind." He defended and scratched the back of his head. [AN: Guys, its the one on the picture. ;p]
"Ok. Ok. I just hope that she'll be friends with us soon." Shinpachi said. Saito glanced at you. You were frozen on your spot because of what you heard. It was a bit shocking because NEVER in your childhood life did anyone made friends with you.
You shook your head to erase your thoughts about having friends. You disliked the word "friends" or "love".
They were talking about you and that pissed you off so you walked out of the HQ and decided to take a stroll outside on the streets.
The wind is not that strong tonight but its still good to feel. You saw people walking around and then, you bumped into a group of samurais.
"Oi! Watch where you're going, brat." One guy exclaimed. You didn't say anything and just walk past them.
"So... trying to be tough, eh?" The guy said and pulled your hair.
"What the--!? Let go of me, bastard!" You yelled and all of the people's attention was on you and the group of samurais.
"Boys, why don't we play with this brat for a bit, eh?" The guy said and all his friends agreed. They surrounded you.
You were ready for this. Your hands are ready to draw your katana.
They attacked you. You draw out your katana and attacked them all. You got a few stabs on your thighs and a bit on your arms but you still had the cool. You never realized that you can dodge some of their attacks.
Once the fight was over, the samurais are lying on the ground, unconscious. People whispered about you. They talked about how good and amazing you were.
You sighed and silently walked your way back to the HQ.
Once in the HQ, you walked to your room but Saito dragged you to where all the Shinsengumi captains, Commander and Vice Commander were.
"[Name]! What in the world happen to you!?" Commander Kondo exclaimed as he stood up from his seat.
"Nothing." You answered without even looking at him.
"What do you mean "Nothing"!? You have stabs and wounds on your thighs and arms! How can that be nothing!?" This time, Vice Commander Hijikata was the one who shouted.
You sighed and looked at them with fierce on your eyes.
"I beat up those stupid samurais who I accidentally bumped into. They wanted to play with me so I thought that it would be a good chance to test out my katana!" You yelled.
"Our katanas are used for wars and important missions. They are not toys to test with. Our hearts and soul is with this katana!" Hijikata retorted.
"I know that! But MY katana is used for killing bad people and for defending myself. I am not even one of you so I don't need any of your lectures!" You shouted back. You were the only person who can talk to Hijikata like that.
"Your parents told us to take care of you so you should do as I say!" He reasoned out.
"Don't you dare drag my parents into this! I never liked the Shinsengumi! I hate you all!" You said and ran out of the room.
"Sheesh, Hijikata. Your already fighting a girl, you know." Sano said and scratched the back of his head.
"How can I not? She's so stubborn and she answers me like I'm not older than her." Hijikata said and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I'll go talk to her." Heisuke said and followed you.
"Wait. Where in Edo will I find her?" He thought for a moment and decided to search for you.
He passed by the field and he thought he had a glimpse of you fighting some guys.
"[Name]?" He said and ran to you. It was a battle between you and some samurais. Again.
"What are you doing here, Heisuke?" You asked.
"I'm here to help you. Most importantly, I need to tell you something." He said and draw out his sword to fight.
"What is it?" You asked as some blood splattered.
"I'm here to tell you that I... love you." He said and you looked at him.
All the samurais are dead and both of you were panting.
"H-Heisuke?" You stared at him for a while.
"Yes. I do love you. You may be stubborn but that's how I like you. You can defend yourself at all cost." He said and held your hands in his.
"Heisuke... I.. feel the same." You said. He smiled and gave you a deep kiss. Much to your surprise, you kissed him back. You loved this guy because he was different from the others.
