Chapter 3

Hate.
Hate is the only thing I feel towards him.

I have to keep reminding myself that. He's being so gosh darn sweet.
A.) He got me a new room. Sure it's right by his but it's bigger.
B.) he bought me the most gorgeous gown for the ball this evening
Oh I forgot to tell you?! My bad. Well there's a ball tonight for all the alphas and their mates. And yes I have to go. It's not by choice. But boy is he going to regret that.

I'm getting dressed in my room just as I finish pulling on the gold mermaid dress. I hear a knock on my door.
"Come in!" I shout from my closet.

Whoever it is comes in and I can hear the creak of my bed as they sit down. 

I quickly go out and find Damien sitting on my bed with a little smirk on him face id like to slap off.

"I knew you'd look good in that dress" he says. His smirk widening.

"Shut up" I say glaring at him. What gives him the right?

"Wow feisty. It was a complement....are you ready to go? We don't want to be late"

"Yah yah whatever" I say following him out to his car. He helps me in and then he gets in and drives

"Please at least pretend to like me well we're there. For the pack" he say.

"Ok"

"Thank you"

"Whatever" I stare out the window till he pulls up to the hotel that we're staying at for the night.
And no, I'm not going to sleep with him.

He helps me out and holds his arm out for me. I take it and put on the realist fake smile ever.

We walk into the most beautiful ball room I've ever seen. Though I don't have much to compare it to. There's so many unmated alphas checking me out. I'll have to take advantage of that later.

"Jewel!" Todrick  yells trying to get my attention. I drag Damien over with me.

"Toddy!" I say as I hug him tightly. There's a low possessive growl coming from Damien.
We both ignore it. I stay in today's arms.

"How's my baby girl?" Toddy asks.

"Awful. I can't believe he's my mate. Did you know about this?" I ask.

"No. I promise" he's says kissing the top of my head.

"Enough" Damien growls. Pulling me away.

I glare at him. "Go fuck yourself"

Damien leans down a whispers in my ear "I'd rather fuck you "

Those simple words send shivers down my spine.

"If you don't mind My lovely jewel and I will go dance." Damien says to toddy

"Of course not. Behave yourself jewel" Toddy says

"Yes daddy" I say teasingly. I peck his check and go with Damien to the dance floor.

"Who is he to you?" Damien says with a jealous under Tone.

"Are you jealous?" I ask amused.

"No. I asked you a question" he says. Starting to dance with me.

"He's like a dad. Since you killed mine." I say purposefully stomping on his foot.

"Will you please stop" he asks.

"What do you want me to stop?" I ask

"Rejecting me. I didn't have a choice with your parents" he says.
Fuck no!

"Leave me alone. You've hurt me enough. What else do you want from me?" I say on the brink of tears.

"I want you to love me back. Please don't cry" he says.

"I can't love you until I forgive you. And thats gonna take a lot" I say.

"I'll give you all the time you need." He says Kissing my forehead. I sigh with relief. As a wave of desire run though me. Crap my heat.

"Get me out of here please" I beg. He quickly sweeps me up in his arms holding me to his chest. Barely holding himself back.
I cling to him.
"Please" is the only word I repeat over and over again all the way to our room.

When we get to our room. I get out of his arms and strip out of my dress.

"Jewel please get in bed. I can't see you like that if you won't have sex with me." He says.

"Please...baby please." I'm burning inside. "I need you." I whisper.

"Just get in bed. I'll lay with you. But you need to get in now. " he says.

"O-ok." I lay down. And curl up in bed watching him undress. I bite my lip as he take his pants off.

At this point he's just in his boxer. And I'm squirming in my place.

"Come lay with me" he comes and lays down. Pulls me against his chest. I sigh with relief. And I quickly fall asleep in his arms.
