I slowly climbed out of my window, ignoring my mom. I didn't feel like eating breakfast, I just wanted to throw up. I had to leave my best friends and the cutest guy in school. My life was officially ruined. I stopped in front of the school. John Quincy Adams High School. It looked big and scary. I sighed and walked in. A group of kids stared at me and walked into a classroom. I looked at my schedule. Room A246. Okay, I could find my classroom. Ding, Ding, Ding. Shoot, I'm late on my first day. I walked slowly, staring at my schedule the whole time. I bumped into someone.

"Oh my god I am so-" I stopped and looked up at a boy with light brown or dirty blonde hair. I don't know which one.

" It's alright, I'm Lucas Friar. You must be the new girl." he put his hand out for me to shake, but I was mesmerized. I slowly shook his hand as if I was in a trance. Wow, so everyone knew about the new girl.

"Uh, yeah. R-R-Riley M-M-Matthews. My father is actually the new teacher." I said. Why was I so nervous?

"Cool, let me see your schedule." Lucas looked over my schedule and smiled. " We have the same home room with your father. Come on." I followed him as we walked into the classroom.

I took a seat in the front of the class. I looked up at the teacher, my father. " Riley, there you are" he then looked at Lucas, and realized that he helped me get here. "You" he stared at Lucas, frowning because he was overprotective of me. He went back to the lesson.

Once class was over I walked into the cafeteria, surprised I was able to get there. I know places we can "Hey!" I looked up from my Taylor Swift song to see the blonde girl from my history class. Maya I think her name is? "You're from my history class right? Riley! The daughter of Mr. Matthews! I'm Maya, Maya Hart. " she was speaking so quickly I had trouble understanding her.

" Yup. Uh, that's me." I mumbled. I wasn't in the mood for making new friends at this school. I didn't want to forget my friends from Ohio. They're my real friends. I started walking quickly so she couldn't talk to me anymore than she already did, but she's a fast walker alright.

" Sit with me! I sit with my friend Farkle"

"I got it." I followed Maya into the cafeteria and took a seat. I studied her. She had blonde hair and blue eyes, a leather jacket and some jeans with black boot heels. Her eyes looked sad. She was hiding sadness behind her smile. "What's wrong?" I asked before I could shut my mouth.

"Huh? Nothing! Riley, this is Farkle, Farkle this is Riley." Maya took a bite of her sandwich. Everyone continued talking with me so we got to know each other. Farkle was a smart boy, and Maya was a kinda bad girl. " Riley, we saw you hanging out with Lucas Friar before school. What's going on?" Why'd they need to know?

"Oh, he's just a sweet guy who helped me find my class." I couldn't help but smile when I thought of him, until I saw their faces. "Is there something wrong?"

Farkle started panicking and whispered something to Maya." Is he always like this?" I asked, trying to hide the fact that I was getting annoyed.

Maya looked at me and slowly said, " Lucas, Friar, is the bad boy of John Quincy Adams High School. If you're seen with him you'll get a bad reputation, that's why no one hangs out with him."

My mind went blank. I was crushing on a bad boy. That never happened before. Never. Wow, I'll never be allowed to date a bad boy. He can't be that bad.
