Chapter Three

|The Trainer|

Evelyn's POV

"Dylan, I can't do that I'm not strong enough." I say putting my hands on my hips. He laughs as he helps me up back on to the big blue square mat. He grabs my left arm with his left hand.

"Yes, you're strong enough, release your fangs." He says. I release my fangs and my eyes turn dark red. Dylan's do the same as I use my right hand and grab his arm. I quickly throw him on to the mat. He lands with a thud. He smiles at me with his fangs.

"See, I knew you could do it!" He exclaims. I retract my fangs as I help him up. He retracts his fangs as well. Then smiles at me with his white teeth.

"Now that's what I want you to help the girls with today, got it?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good."

We smile at each other as we start to here the other werewolves crowd around us. Both boys and girls, only they're all only around 14. Dylan and I teach the beginners class, which is level one. Our pack likes to teach the werewolves at a young age so we have a better advantage when we fight in battles. More people that know how to fight, the better.

Today is the first day of training for these young werewolves. Every month we get a new group of werewolves to train. It's fun because I'm always meeting new people from the pack. Although most of the werewolf parents don't like the idea of vampires teaching there kids. Dylan is an awesome fighter and trainer, he's probably the best in the pack.

All the young werewolves stand in front of us. The mat is raised, so we're slightly looking down on them. All the girls gather in a big group in front of me, and the boys do the same expect in front of Dylan.

"All right, today is your very first day of training, I'm Dylan, and this is my assistant Evelyn. I will be teaching the boys, she will be teaching the girls." Dylan says in a loud voice.

"Today you are just going to learn something simple, you don't need to shift to do this." Dylan explains.

"Now, I'm going to show a demonstration of what you are going to learn today." Dylan looks at me and I stand in front of him. We both release our fangs, Dylan grabs my left arm with his left hand. I put my hand on his arm and throw him quickly on the ground.

He lands with a thud, and some of the kids laugh. I smile at Dylan as he gets back up. He retracts his fangs and continues to explain to the kids what to do. After about five minutes, he divides us into groups. Girls on the left side of the yard, boys on the right. I follow the girls, as he follows the boys.

"I want you to pick a partner and try to do what I did to Dylan. It's okay if you don't get it right away, just try your hardest." I say. The girls pick partners and start to try and throw there partners on the ground. I walk around them and watch them.

I see one small girl by herself sitting down leaning against the pack house. She has long straight black hair, with bright blue eyes along with pale skin. Like me, she's wearing tight black short shorts, with a tight long sleeve shirt. She has freckles along her nose and cheeks. I walk up to her and kneel down so we're eye to eye.

"What's your name?" I say.

"Katrina." She says quietly.

"Well, Katrina, would you like a partner?"

"Nobody wants to be my partner."

"I'm going to be your partner, get up and lets go stand by the other girls." I say as I grab her hand and lead her to the other girls. We find an open spot and I put my left hand on her right arm.
