Johanna? That's Brooklyn's mom!
-
'She didn't come home last night!' I hear Johanna say.

'Who?' My mom asks.

'Brooklyn.' Johanna starts crying again.

Brooklyn didn't come home last night?! What?!

'Where was she?' Mom asks.

'At a party. She promised to be home at 12. I went to bed but she wasn't there in the morning. I decided to wait because she maybe was with friends. But she still isn't  home! And she hasn't called me or anything!' Johanna explains while sobbing.

'Okay, come to the living room. We'll think about what to do.'

I hear footsteps walking away and run down the stairs. I put my shoes and jacket on and put my phone in my pocket. Then I head out the house, closing the door softly. I don't care if my parents are okay with it or not, I need to find Brooklyn!

-

I'm already searching for some hours now but I still haven't found her. I decide to go to Rodney's house and ask him. It was his party. I knew he was bad news!

'What do you want, Lundén?' Rodney asks angrily when he opens his door. I just arrived at his house.

'Where's Brooklyn?!' I ask through gritted teeth.

'I don't know, find out yourself!' He says and wants to close the door but I stop him from doing that.

'If you've hurt her, I'm not done with you yet!' I say angrily and then turn around.

'What do you mean, you can't do me anything.' Rodney replies and laughs. I turn around.

'Oh you don't even know!' I say. Rodney walks closer to me. He's a bit taller but not that much. Then he suddenly wraps his hand around my neck. I try to scream but I almost can't breathe.

'You know what I do with people that bother me?' He says.

'Let. Me. Go.' I say.

'What did you say? Can't hear you.' Rodney laughs loud. 'You know what? This is for you.' He beats my face with his fist and let me go. I stumble backwards and fall on the ground. 'And now leave!'

I do what he says and run away. My eye hurts. I bet it'll be blue and swollen. But I need to find Brooklyn. My face won't be that bad.

The last part of this town where I can look is the forest, but I don't think she will be there. Who runs into the forest at midnight or even later? It's getting dark already so I start walking faster. Suddenly my phone starts vibrating in my pocket. Mom's calling.

'Isac?' She asks when I answer the phone.

'Yeah?'

'Where the hell are you?!' She asks, sounding mad and worried.

'Looking for Brook.' I say.

'You've heard us?'

'Yeah.'

'Come home now! It's getting late!' Mom says.

'Not until I found her.' And with that I end the call.

I finally arrive at the forest.

'Brooklyn?!' I scream loudly. 'Brooklyn are you there?!'

Nothing.

'Broooook?!'

Again nothing. I start walking away.

'Help!!' I hear softly coming out of the woods. 'Help?!'
