I grab the crutches from him and walk out of the room to mom, Isac and Linda.

-

'What did he say?' Isac stands up and walks to me.

'Nothing's broken, only sprained. Need to walk with these crutches for a while. No sports, no running.' I say moody.

'It'll be alright.' Isac says and hugs me.

'Can we go home?' I ask. Mom nods. I don't like hospitals.

-

'Bye.' I say to Isac and Linda and walk towards my front door. 'Isac, make sure to put some ice on your eye!'

'Yeah, I will! Don't worry about me, stupid!' He says and laughs.

Mom opens the front door for me.

'Do you want some food?' She asks.

'No not hungry.' I say.

'But you haven't eaten the whole day! Take at least a sandwich or something!'

'Do we have soup?' I ask.

'Yeah I can make that.'

'I would like that then.' I walk into the living room and sit down on the couch. I hate this day. Why did I have to go to that party? It ruined everything.

'Honey, the soup is ready!' Mom yells from the kitchen. I stand up, grab my crutches and walk to the kitchen. I sit down on a chair. 'Does it hurt?' Mom asks, looking at me.

'Yeah.' I say. Ofcourse it does, come on.

'Maybe a painkiller will help?' She hands me a pill. I take it with some water.

'Thanks.' I say and yawn.

'Maybe you should go to sleep when you've finished your soup.' Mom says. I nod. I eat my soup quickly and then get up. 'I'll help you up the stairs.' Mom walks with me to the stairs. I give my crutches to her and grab the guardrail. I slowly start walking up the stairs with my mom behind me. Finally I'm on the second floor.

'I'll be fine now.' I grab my crutches from my mom and walk to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and then head to my bedroom, jumping straight into bed. I close my eyes. Everything what happened comes back into my mind. I try to not think of it but it won't help. I see Rodney's drunk face in front of me again causing me to get scared.

'He's not here. There's noting wrong.' I whisper to myself. After some hours I hear my mom going to bed. I try to fall asleep again. Nope... After two hours I give up. I sit up in my bed and grab my phone. I open messages and write a text to Isac.

''I can't sleep."

''Me neither.'' Isac texts back. ''Come outside.''

''K.''

I step out of my bed and grab a sweater from my chair, putting it on. Then I put some leggings and warm socks on. It'll be pretty cold outside. Then I head out of my room as quietly as I can, trying not to wake my mom. When I reach the stairway I think a while of how I'm getting downstairs. Then I sit down on a step and go down one by one. When I reach downstairs, I quickly put some shoes on, not trying to have so much pain. Then I head out, closing the door softly behind me.

' Hey!' I hear Isac yell softly. He waves.

'Hey.' I reply. He walks towards me. Wait, he has his bike with him?

'Why?' I ask, nodding my head towards the bike.

'I know some place we can go.' He says.

'I'm not sure.' I say. 'It's midnight.'

'Come one! It'll be fun!' He says and pouts.

'Okay then.' I sigh. 'Will you cycle?'

' Yes, jump on my luggage carrier.' Isac says. I sit down holding my crutches in front of me. ' You ready?'

' Yep.' I say. Isac starts cycling. I hold one arm around his waist. I close my eyes and feel the cold night air stroking my face. This is nice.

-

'We're here.' Isac says and stops cycling. I open my eyes to see a river. I jump off his carrier.

'Why here?' I ask, frowning at him.

'It's nice here.' He says. He puts a blanket on the ground. 'Sit down.'

I sit down on the blanket and stare to the water.

'Why couldn't you sleep?' Isac asks.

'Why couldn't you?'

'I asked first.'

'Just thoughts.' I say not wanting to tell him. 'You?'

'Well, same actually.' He says, looking into my eyes. I stare back. He starts leaning in, looking at my lips and then back into my eyes. Wait, is he going to kiss me? Suddenly he presses his lips on mine. I pull away quickly.

'Isac..' I start. 'What, uhm, I don't see you that way.'

Isac's pov:

'Sorry, I..' I'm so happy that it's dark because my face must look like a tomato right now.

'I really like you but just as a friend, you know?' Brooklyn says, frowning.

'Yeah I don't know why I did that.' I say and shrug.

'Let's go home.' Brooklyn suggests and I nod. I bring her home and then go to my own house. Man, that was awkward. And I do know why I kissed her. I love that girl. You know that moment when you look at someone eating or writing or whatever and you're just like ''I love you so much'' ? Well I had that when I saw her walking out the doctor's room. And no way that I'm giving up on her. Never.
