Chapter 26

SALLY'S POV 

i sit up slowly and turn to Zayn 

me : Zayn......what happened ? what is it that you can't tell me ?!!

he didn't answer me nor look at me , he looked like he was in deep thoughts ! like he was living a memory , so i grabbed his hand and like he came back to reality he look at me with wide eyes 

me : it's okay Zayn , am here !! ...........hey how about a secret for a secret 

him : Sally , i-i......i love you , i will tell you what you want , you don't have to share with me something that you don't want to ! 

i press my hand to his cheek 

me : i love you too Zayn , that's why i want to tell you about my past too .

he take a deep breath then look at the floor and say

him : i was raised in a small town , me , my mom and dad , and my brother , my father was a drunken dickhead , he never took care of us or my mom , so me and Jack had to work from an young age to provide what we needed and to take care of our mom, as the years passed dad grow much worse , he started beating mom , and every time we asked her about the bruises on her body she would make up a lie knowing that we would beat him if we knew.

he took a deep breath and i squeezed his hand to show him that am here with him.

him : one day , while we were at work mom and dad had a bad fight ....and he start beating her over ...and over and over until..........s-she passed away.

a tear rolled down his cheek and my own tears run down my face 

him : w-when we got home we found the police all over the place , the jerk told them that she felt down the stairs but me and Jack knew what really happened, we moved to my aunt's house not far  away from ours , then one night ......we sneaked back to the house and .........we went into his room where he was sleeping and ...........we killed him ......me and Jack ......we killed our father.

he looked over at me , then he pulled his hand from mine and looked away with so much hurt 

him : i understand if you want to go ....

i looked at him with wide eyes then it hit me .......he think that by telling me this  i am gonna hate him , i took his hand again and he look at me 

me : no Zayn , am not going anywhere 

him : b-but........am a monster !!!! am no good !!!! 

me : you are good Zayn !!!! anyone in your place would have done the same thing !!!!

he looked at me with disbelief , then shook his head 

him :  so after that , we knew that we had nothing there so we decided to come here , with the money we save from all the working we did , we were be able to buy this apartment then we got into collage , and once in our fucking life we were happy and we had everything we needed until ........The Game.

at that moment all the hurt in his eyes turn into anger 

him : that fucking game ruined our life , two years ago Jack heard people on campus talking about The Game , and being the stupid ass he is he got in , at first he was doing good , winning all the challenges , people were supporting him then.......the challenges grew harder more dangerous , and soon enough it wasn't a game anymore , it was about .....staying alive .

i swallowed hard at his words 

him : but Jack was strong ....a fighter and he made it to the final challenge , it was him and ......Dan's brother James , they put them on a dessert road , up against each other and they had to drive toward each other and the first to drift away was the loser , but they knew that Jack and James were the strongest ....none of them would drift , but what they didn't knew is that James was a cheating son of a bitch , he played with Jack's car , he ruined it , and at the day of the challenge when Jack wanted to speed up it didn't , it  stopped which lead to the car flipping up side down and it started rolling over .....5 times , i counted them and my heart broke with each flip.

my eyes were wide , my face was covered in tears , i can't imagine what he been through ...to loosed your family like that !!! 

me : Z-i.....am so sorry Zayn about everything you been through !! 

he looked at me 

him : you understand now why i didn't want you to go on !! i can't afford to loose someone else i love ! i can't Sally...

his voice cracked and i pulled him in my arms 

me : you will never loose me Zayn , am here to stay ! don't worry you will never be alone again .

and we stayed like that ! holding each other , then i took a deep breath and pulled away from him , he looked at me confused 

me : you told me about your past , now it's time for me to tell you about mine .....
