Y/n POV

I woke up at around 8:00 to Sarah shaking me.

Y/n- What do you want?

S- Come on Mrs. Walsh wants us down stairs in thirty minutes!

I just groaned and turned on my other side.

S- GET UP!!!

Then Sarah hit me in the face with a pillow. I got up almost instantly.

Y/n- Hey! What was that for?

S- We have to go. The bathrooms gonna get crowded.

Sarah walked to the bathroom and I slowly followed her. Lana was already in there brushing her hair.

L- Took you long enough.

Y/n- Hey I just woke up.

I washed my face and brushed my teeth as the girls were applying makeup.

I put on a light coat of BB cream and mascara then swiped on a coat of lip gloss.

Sarah changed into black lulu lemon leggings and a pink nike crop top before slipping on her sperrys.

Lana had on jean shorts, a white camisole and a cream cardigan. She put her thick blonde hair into a side braid.

I had on a blue tie-dye halter crop top with black tight Nike capris and Nike sneakers.

I straightened my hair and put it in a high pony tail. We all checked our looks in the mirror then headed to the lobby.

A few girls were already in the lobby with Mrs. Walsh. We stood with them and waited for the others.

When everyone was down stairs Mrs. Walsh shushed us before telling us why we're here.

Mrs. Walsh- Okay class today we are going to walk through the tourist area of Hollywood before meeting up with some producers of the new TV show In The Spotlight to learn about what a real audition is like.

I know my school is pretty cool. Some former students have stared in TV shows like Criminal Minds and New Girl. Last year a senior landed a role in Catching Fire.

I had all of the things I needed with me. My money for shopping, pen and notebook for writing down tips from producers and of course my phone.

Sarah, Lana and I linked arms as we walked out of the hotel following Mrs. Walsh.

We all got on tour bus type of thing. It had an open roof and a lot of windows. It reminded me of the TMZ tour bus.

S- Oh my god I am so excited for this. What if we see a real celebrity or something.

As we loaded the bus Mrs. Walsh added that we could only sit 2 people per seat. Everyone groaned. Now we can't all sit together.

B- Hey y/n you can sit with me if you want.

I looked back to my girls to see what they say. Lana shewed me away.

S- Go!

Y/n- Um... okay. Sure.

I took my seat next to Beck.

B- So are you excited?

Y/n- Yes! I really want some souvenirs to bring back home. I guess you don't really need this mock audition thing seeing as you've already done one.

B- I've never gotten a part though.

Y/n- At least you know what you're doing and you must be doing it well if you're getting callbacks. I've never done anything like this.

B- Y/n, you won't even need to audition. Any good director would take one look at your what three long page resume and see that you can play any role.

I blushed like a fool.

B- I mean you were amazing when you played Tiny Tim in the Christmas Carol this years production. And last year when you played Donkey in Shrek? Outstanding! It shows you can play male or female roles. Even when you're were just in the chorus you stand out.

Y/n- Thanks but I'm not that great. I've never gotten something I've auditioned for besides Donkey but that took practice with my acting coach and took me three years to get a semi lead.

B- Yes but it shows that you have determination and are willing to work hard for what you want and that's what directors want to see. They want to see actors who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty for a role and you definitely proved that in Annie a few years ago.

We both laughed.

Y/n- Yeah I can't believe I actually put mud and dirt all over myself while everyone else just used makeup. Guess I wasn't thinking.

B- Remember that time in like 7th grade when you talked in a southern accent for a month during Footloose? That was dedication.

We started cracking up at my embarrassing story. I have to say I do get very dedicated to my roles.

Y/n- Well I just wanted to do my best. Like they say "Acting is believing" and I wanted the audience to believe me.

B- And that's what's gonna get you the lead role in hottest new movie.

Y/n- Thanks.

By now I was blushing like crazy. I put my head down as I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. Beck believed in me more than I believed in myself.

Y/n- I tried to audition for a small production of Oliver out side of school once. My voice cracked so bad I ran out crying and didn't come back.

B- It's okay. Everyone has to fail at least once so they can be even better.

I looked out the window looking at the busy streets. Back home my neighborhood was small enough so that everyone knew everyone.

Here the traffic was crazy and the sidewalks were filled with people.
