Right now, I'm packing. It's been three weeks since my birthday. The school year ended yesterday, but I'm not having any fun. Why? It started like this.
I had gotten home from school to find my mother in a panic. "Your uncle Bob has broken his leg," she had informed me, "We are moving to their campground to help."
"Why can't Aunt Dawn take care of him?" I had grumbled
"Aunt Dawn can't possibly take care of the entire campground and your Uncle with only 1 other person to help her! Since Sarah had quit, they have been short handed." My mom had replied.
I remembered Sarah. Mom had told me about her. She had quit because her husband had gotten a job somewhere else.
I sighed,"Mom, I can't possibly pack all of my stuff in one suitcase. You gave my other one to Anabelle, remember?"
"You won't have to," her mom had replied, "you are going to pack enough for one week and we'll pack the rest."
So I'm packing. I finish and decided to check in on Kyle to see what he felt about this. I knock on his door. No answer. I open it, and there was still no sign of him. I call his name and open the closet in case he's hiding.
The room is surprisingly clean. Wait a minute, there, on the otherwise spotless desk, there was a phoenix feather. I pick it up and another appeared on the floor. I pick that one up and follow the trail. It led to one of the walls. There was a message written on it.At first I couldn't read it, but soon words became visible. Here is the message as it was written on the wall.
Amber,
I am in the tree house with my buddy john. Ask for C3PO R2D2 and Yoda Han Solo at the Wizard's tavern, Make sure to ask Lea, and Don't Ask Ewok.
Here is my translation.
Amber,
I am in the tree house with my buddy John. Ask for C3PO R2D2 and Yoda Han Solo at the wizard's tavern. Make sure to ask Lea, and Don't Ask Ewok.
"Hey Mom," I yell.
"Yes Honey?" I heard mom reply. I race downstairs.
"Mom, can I go to the treehouse?" I ask.
"Sure honey," My mom allowed. So I run outside and tell the treehouse that I want to go up. As soon as the branch lands, I jump on. It seems to know I am in a hurry and rises quickly to the top. I step off and take off running for the Wizard's tavern. It is right next to the pool, I remembered that.
I see it come into sight and burst through the door. The girl at the counter looked up and says, "Hello sugar! My name's Ethel Wendy Opal Kingman. You can call me Miss E. or Ethel. I'm going to be your waitress." Ethel Wendy Opal Kingman... Why would she take the time to say all those names? Wait a minute! If I take the first letter of each name, it spells EWOK! Remembering my manners, I quickly tried to say hello.
"Um, err, Hi Mrs. Ewo – I mean, Mrs. E," I stutter.
"Hi," came a bright voice from the corner, "I'm Lilian." I turn around to look. Lea! She even looks like Princess Lea.
"Miss Lilian," I walk over to her, "Do you happen to know a C3POR2D2 or a Yoda Han Solo?" I ask. She looks around, perhaps wondering if this is a trap, or if someone is watching.
"Amber?" she whispered, her eyes widening.
"That would be me," I replied.
"This way," Lillian said. She leads me to a booth with a star wars painting hanging above it. "Touch Yoda's hand when you're ready," She informs me. I look at the painting. It is of Yoda training Luke Skywalker. I realize Lillian had left and pressed Yoda's hand. Everything went black.
