Larry stopped bringing Ahkmenrah around after that first night. I wasn't exactly sure why, but when I asked him, he said, "If I bring him around every night, that's all you'll end up talking about!" He was joking, of course. About the part where I'll end up talking about him all the time.

It had been two weeks from the time that I broke my leg, and I hadn't seen Ahkmenrah since. I was really starting to miss him. Larry and Nicky kept a close eye on me, because I kept asking them if I could get up and walk around. But the only response I got was, "You heard what the doctor said, Crystal," This always came from Larry, Nicky, or both. They even caught me trying to slip out of bed one night. They've now moved me to the living room, where they can watch me more closely.

I was playing a game on Nicky's phone one day when Larry came home from the museum to get ready for his night shift. Nicky was sitting next to me on the couch, and he was watching me lose. Every time I did, he laughed, which resulted in him getting a fist to the arm. I lost again, and Nicky laughed. I hit him in the arm again.

"Ow!" Nicky laughed while rubbing his arm.

Larry came out of his room and looked at us. "What's going on?"

"Crystal's hitting me," Nicky responded.

I threw him a dirty look. "Yeah, only cause you think it's funny to watch me lose!"

Nicky laughed again. When I tried to hit him again, he dodged my punch and stole his phone back. He stood up from the couch and went to sit at the counter.

"Hey!" I complained. Nicky shot me a grin. "Now what am I supposed to do?"

"You'll figure something out," Nicky said, smiling.

He was awarded with another dirty look. Larry looked up at me. "Oh, Crystal, I forgot to tell you..."

"What?" I said, suddenly very curious.

"The doctor called today. You can start walking around now. He thinks you've been off your leg long enough."

This really excited me. "Yes!"

"But, he told me to warn you... you should really try and take it-"

"Ow!" I cried out in pain.

"Easy..." Larry finished with a sigh. When Larry told me I could get up and start walking around, I had immediately hopped up and tried to run for the door... but fell in the process, landing on my leg.

Nicky came over and helped me up. "Are you okay?"

"No, it hurts..." I said, holding my leg.

Larry sighed again and got me a pill to take for the pain. He also gave me the crutches the doctor insisted I use when I start walking around. "Here, use these."

I looked at them and shook my head. "No."

"Crystal-" Nicky started to say.

"I'll be fine," I told him.

Larry sighed again. "Suit yourself, but I'm bringing them along just in case."

Knowing he was going to do it even if I told him no, I reluctantly agreed. And with that, we left for the museum.

We walked to the museum, and I practically limped the whole way because of me falling on my leg just before we left. So, by the time we got there, my leg was throbbing uncontrollably, and I was biting my lip so hard, it ended up bleeding. When I felt the blood running down my chin, I wiped it off and tried not to let Nicky and Larry see. But they ended up noticing it anyway.
