Liam: Hey bish.

Me: What do you want?

Liam: Damn girl why you gotta be so rude

Me: Don't you know I'm human toooo

Liam: Ugh I hate that song.. anyway, I got bored so I'm on my way over

Me:  I don't remember giving you permission

Liam:  Because I didn't ask

On that note, the doorbell rang. I rolled my eyes, grinning. I had spent the whole day writing the essay my English teacher assigned for the weekend. He was one of the only teachers that gave homework on Friday's, and for that, everyone hated him. I rolled off my bed, putting on my blue fuzzy slippers, and jogged my way down the stairs and to the front door. As soon as I turned the doorknob Liam practically shoved the door in my face and pushed past me, heading straight to the fridge.

"Well hello to you too." I playfully pouted as I followed him into the kitchen.

"Shay, I'm too important of a person to bother with greeting." I rolled my eyes, chuckling as Liam washed the strawberries that he pulled out of the fridge.

"What do you want to do?" He asked, digging into his snack.

"I was just thinking of having a Disney movie marathon, wanna join?"

"Sounds good."

We headed back up the stairs and into my bedroom, Liam behind me, constantly stepping on the backs of my slippers, trying to make me trip. I completely ignored him, used to his annoying behavior by now, I honestly don't have a clue how I've put up with him this long.

"Maybe we should call Dianna?" I mentioned, turning towards Liam.

"Nah, she's at the treehouse with her parents." The treehouse is what we call Dianna's enormous country house in Connecticut. The name was sort of an ironic joke that no one really knows how it came into existence.

"I guess it's just us then."

An hour later we were in the middle of 'Pocahontas'. It was the scene when Pocahontas is saying goodbye to John before he is sent away to London. I cooed, making Liam roll his eyes at me. I nudged him in the side, and laughed. I turned towards him, about to make a stupid 'Netflix and chill' joke when suddenly, Liam has his lips pressed against mine, and his fingers wrapping around my hand. I didn't know what to do, so I pulled away.

"What?....I mean.. Why?....I mean.... what was that about?" I stuttered, still not full comprehending what just happened.

"Sorry, I just.... I've been wanting to do that for so long." Liam stared down at his hands. The awkward silence was nearly unbearable.

"Look, Liam, you're my best friend. I love you, but not in that  way." The words sounded childish coming from me but I didn't know how else to put it. Liam and I have been best friends since we were seven, and sure, I did have a major crush on him back in eighth grade, all the way too the end of freshman year, but I'm a junior now, and I'm completely over it.

"Yea, sorry, I shouldn't have done that. I should go." Liam stood up and walked out of the room, I didn't stop him. Dianna and I have a lot  to talk about tonight.
