Alexis's POV:
-----THE NEXT DAY AT 12AM-----
I am in the woods waiting for Lucinda to get here. I told her to get here at 11, what's taking her so long? I see something moving in the bush so I start to back up.
Lucinda: " BOO!"
Alexis: "AHHH! Thank Irene its you Lucinda, I thought it was a bear!"
Lucinda: "Ha! Anyways are you sure you wanna do this Alexis."
Alexis: "Yes I'm sure, I constructed the portal and everything."
Lucinda: "Ok-ok."
Lucinda throws in a spruce sapling then lights it on fire. There is a bit of an orange flash as the portal opens.
Lucinda: "before you leave I wanna give you something."
She hands me a blue amulet
Alexis: "what is this?"
Lucinda: "It's a communication amulet, just in case you need to contact me. To use it just hold it to your heart and we will be able to talk to each other.
I run to hug Lucinda then i walked back to the portal, took a deep breath then put one foot inside.
Lucinda: "ALEXIS! One more thing!"
Alexis: "what?"
Lucinda: " good luck."
I let off a little chuckle and wave goodbye. I close my eyes and put the rest of my body through the portal, and open them to a beautiful city.
