Three years later...
"Don't you think those jeans are a little tight." Daddy grabbed the waist of my jeans.
"Daddy!" I hit his hand and laughed.
"Be good." My daddy hugged me one last time before he got in his car.
"I am."
It was so hard for Daddy to let me go to college in Vermont. Being his only daughter and the baby out of five boys meant he was extra protective of me. I grew up extremely sheltered especially since I was a preacher's daughter. So, going to a big college by myself was going to take some getting use to. I wasn't like those stereotypical preacher's daughters that was actually wild either. I had always been a good girl. I planned on staying that way too.
"Watch out for these boys too. I didn't pay good money for you have a private dorm for you to be messing around with things like that."
He had to be talking about to someone. I turned to see a group of football players or basketball players sitting on top of a table, laughing about something. One sort of caught my eye. Both of his arms were covered in all different types of tattoos that contrasted against his light skin. His eyes were hazel, well a little more of a pale green with few golden flecks, here and there. The way they caught the sun reminded me of someone. I was focused on school and school only though.
"I know, daddy." I said while still memorized by the mysterious guy. He had a beard going on and waves.
"Genesis!" Daddy yelled making me snap out of it and look at him.
"Yes, daddy?" I gave him my best pouting face hoping he would not start to fuss at me.
"Mhmm. Bye. I love you pumpkin." I smiled a little.
"I love you too." I waved by as he pulled off leaving me here. I was ready for the holidays already. Being almost 800 miles away from my family was going to be hard.
I turned on the heels of my sandals and started walking back to my dorm. The guy I was peeped out earlier, smirked at me. Dang, he really reminded me of someone when he did that.. I just don't know who. I shook my head. That accident had really fucked up my head. He got up from the table and jogged towards me. I stood there a while admiring his tall stature. He had to be a to be at least a good 6'3.
"What's your name?" Should I give him my name? Guys never really approached me, so this was something new to me.
"Genesis." Yup, I was named after the first book in the Bible because I was his first daughter. All of my brothers's names were out of the Bible actually.
"I like that." His smile showed a peek of a gold grill on his bottom row of perfectly straight teeth. They too perfect, like veneers maybe. These are type of guys my daddy warned me about. It was something about him though that I was instantly drawn to.
"Bet you do." I rolled my eyes. Where did that come from? I was never a blunt person. A cocky smirk played on his pink full lips. I hope he didn't think he was slick.
Just because I was sheltered didn't mean I couldn't peep game. I had seen the way my brothers played different girls over the years. It made me see guys at this age are plain dogs.
"So there is this party to-"
"No thank you. Have a nice day though." I opened the door to my dorm building to see girls looking at me like I killed someone.
"You just turned down Quentin Jackson." A pretty chocolate girl told me.
She was really short. She made me look tall and I was only 5'2. Her hair was cut in a curly black bob wig. It was cute. I wish I could cut my hair or a wig at least, but my daddy would have a fit like he did when I got side bangs in 8th grade.
