Hikaru x Reader: Annoying

(A/N: Just letting you guys know I'm taking requests so if you ever have any ideas feel free to comment! :] )

"(Nameeeeeee)" you heard your classmate and best friend, Hikaru Hitachiin whine. You rolled your eyes.
"What is it now, Hikaru?" You asked. Let me guess, another attempt at asking me out on a date! You thought to yourself.

Hikaru smiled mischievously.
"Will you pleeeaaaseee go on a date with me? Just one? I promise you'll have a good time!"
This boy was persistent. What was this, the 8th time he had asked you out? It was getting pretty bothersome.

"No, Hikaru, I already told you! I'm sorry but I just want to be friends!" You sighed. Hikaru shook his head.

"Oh, we'll be more than friends soon, (name), don't worry...."  And with that, he left the room.

It had only been two days. Two, and Hikaru hadn't let up. Sure, he'd been creative about it- roses sent to you from your "secret admirer", a note written on a paper airplane he threw during class, throwing rocks at your window, and other things. You tried to avoid him at all costs. So when Haruhi invited you to spend the afternoon with the host club, you were wary to say yes. In the end though, you agreed.

You had been hanging out with the club for almost half an hour now, with no sign of Hikaru. You started to relax and actually enjoy yourself. A few minutes into a heated (and very important) discussion about commoner's coffee with Tamaki, you heard the doors to the music room open. Here he comes, this is it. You thought. Sure enough, it was Hikaru. He had on a really nice suit, and was holding a bouquet of roses. You had to admit, he looked pretty nice. He walked over to you and got down on one knee.
What the hell?! Is he proposing or something?!! You started freaking out. Knowing Hikaru, nothing was impossible.

"(Name), you're my best friend. It's really obvious but I've liked you for a really long time. I really hope one day you will say yes and accept me, (name). That will be the best day of my life. I know this is probably pointless but, (name), would you do me the honor of becoming my girlfriend?" He looked up at you with hopeful puppy dog eyes. You nervously bit your lip. He was painfully cute like this. Maybe...one date wouldn't be so bad?...
"Okay." You said. "One date. I'll try it."

The biggest smile spread across the boy's face.
"Y-you mean it, (name)?!"
You nodded and gave him a smile. He got up and threw his arms around you. Sure he got annoying sometimes, but it didn't compare to how sweet Hikaru really was.
