Jake's POV

********

I've been standing in this stupid office for about half an hour and none of the administrators seem to give a damn!

"Excuse me, is my counsellor free already? I've been waiting for so long." I said trying to hide my anger.

"He's in a parent meeting right now. He'll probably be done in a few minutes. Just take a seat and he'll call you when he's ready." Said the blond-haired lady at the front desk.

wow.

I took a seat and just sat there impatiently hoping that he wouldn't change me from my fifth period class. Jenny is in there and damn she's fine.

"Mr. Anderson? Come in please." My counsellor waved me into his office.

"So I've noticed that you are pretty advanced in your math class so What I'm going to do, is change you to a higher level, and that will make your transcript look better."

No!

"Can't I just stay in my current math class?"

"Have you thought about going to college Mr. Anderson?"

"No..."

"No? Well, I think you should. Being able to get an education past high school is essentia--"

"yeah, yeah. I know. But we only live once yo. It's not that important."

"I'm changing you either way. And I don't want to hear no but's and and's."

"ugh, fine." I sank into my seat defeated.

"Okay, here's your new schedule and you can just head right to your new class. Good luck Anderson."

I just turned my back to him and rolled my eyes.

I couldn't believe this shit. Damn, Jenny isn't gonna talk to me no more. I was actually getting somewhere.

I walked past several classrooms down the hall until I reached room 211. I opened the door and walked in.

Everyone's eyes were on me like the god of all gods had just walked in.

"Mr. Anderson. What a pleasure to have you in my class. Shouldn't you be somewhere else?"

"No. My counsellor changed me to this class because I'm stupid." I said sarcastically. Everyone laughed.

except for the girl way in the back, sitting alone.

I always make everyone laugh. She didn't laugh? For some reason it really bothered me.

"Well, take a seat then. And it seems that there is one left just for you." He pointed towards the seat next to the lonely girl.

I began walking up to her, we slightly made eye contact but she looked away. Does she even know who I am?

I sat down next to her and a faint smell of sweet pea perfume entered my nose. It came from her.

"Ey, you have a pencil?" I asked, smiling at her hoping she'd smile back.

"Uh, yea, let me just... here." She said seeming absolutely uninterested.

By now, any girl would be going crazy on me.

"Thanks. I'm Jake by the way."

Hopefully she says her name. I'll finally know who this shy girl is.

"Yea I know. I- I mean, you are mentioned a lot around here that's why." She looked down, her cheeks flushing. She looked adorable.

What am I saying? No, Jake Anderson. You like Jenny. Jenny. Only Jenny.

"I'm Delani." Slightly smiling this time.

So it's Delani.

"You look cute when you blush." I pinched her cheek.

What an I doing? Wtf.

"Oh, You too. No I mean, thanks... never mind."

I slightly laughed at her comment.
I don't know why but I need to get to know this girl. Maybe and it's because she isn't drooling for me. She has to. I'm Jake Anderson. Everyone has to.

"So, you know, I'm not very good with math. Maybe you could tutor me sometime?" I lied. I placed my hand on hers hoping she'll break out any moment, but she didn't.

"Yea sure, anytime."

"Can you today?"

"Oh yea, of course! After school good?"

"It's perfect. I'll drive you home afterwards."

"Okay."

I winked at her as my final response.

She'll eventually break out. I know she will. I never fail.
