The bell for end of school finally rang and I was absolutely exhausted.

Ugh.

I walked out of he school building, heading across the parking lot when a car honked at me from behind.

"What the fu--"

"Hey! I though you accepted to tutor me today!"

It was the one and only, Jake Anderson.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I totally forgot." I said in a sarcastic tone.

"Well hop on then. I'm heading home right now."

I walked over and got on.

"So... Do you live far?" I asked trying to start a conversation.

"Well, yea sort of. But don't worry I'll drive you home afterwards." He winked.

"okay."

There was major silence. I was just so amazed that I was in Jake Anderson's car, just us two and no one else.

"Uh, well thanks for wanting to help me out with math. I don't want to bother or anything."

"Nah, it's fine. I tutor a lot of people so I'm used to it."

He chuckled.

We finally arrived to this regular modern, two floor home. Trees surrounding the property, and a small American flag hanging from the porch rooftop.

We got off and I followed him into his home.

"Mom! I'm back! Brought a friend by the way!" He yelled towards the kitchen.

"Jake. I don't want you doing anything inappropriate in your room! I've told you several times before!"

I glanced at him and raised an eyebrow.

He just rubbed the back of his neck and smiled of embarrassment.

"C'mon, room's up there." Signalling to the stairs.

He took me by surprise when he took my hand and began leading me up the stairs.

And it didn't feel that bad. Our hands connected perfectly like two puzzle pieces. But if course I was the only one thinking this.

We got to a dark wooden door at the end of the hall and stepped in.

"Welcome to my man cave." He spread out his arms like showcasing a trophy.

"Not that bad for a guy like you."

"A guy like me? What do you mean?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Well, it's so clean in here, and it smells really nice!"

"I'm a clean freak that's why."

"I feel you bro. So what is it that you don't understand about the class?" I sat on his bed.

"What class?"

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Well what am I here for? Obviously math."

He smiled and sat next to me handing me the math textbook for integrated 3.

"Okay, so first of all, do you know what a parabola is?"

"yeah." He was staring at me with a smile.

"Do you know how to graph?"

"yup."

He kept staring... it's getting uncomfortable.

"Okay then why don't you show me ho--"

"Tell me about yourself." He interrupted.
