When Tuesday came I was ready to fight. Not that I wasn't ready every other day, but today just felt like a good day.
I stood up and yawned stretching. I took a shower and did my make up. I walked to my closet and picked out my clothes.
I walked down stairs with Zach waiting for me.
"You look nice today" Callie complimented me
"Thanks Callie" I smiled leaving with Zach
I saw my pickup and me and Zach gave each other an 'I'm driving' look. I immediately started running with Zach right next to me.
I opened the door and got in.
"Awwww Lex let me drive" he whined
"sucks to suck. Now get in before I leave you" I said smirking
He stood there arms crossed pouting.
"Fine have it your way" I said closing the door then I started to drive
"No Lexi wait!" I heard him yell
I laughed.
Then I heard something land in the trunk. I stopped the car to see Zach face planted in the trunk.
I started laughing to death.
"Not funny" he mumbled which made me laugh harder
"Get in" I said getting back in the drivers seat and he got shotgun
The drive we just talked.
School was boring. I just cant stop thinking about how Zach said 'You're a Girl' at the last fight.
I'm fighting him today anyways. I'll kick his ass. I smiled at that thought. Everyone is still staring at me and giving me looks. I'm still not sure why.
When school let out I walked outside looking for Zach. I couldn't find him so I looked around.
"At the fight tonight don't touch her. I'll handle it" I heard someone say, just barely.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Zach pinning Josh and Dan on the wall.
"Yeah yeah we get it" Josh said rolling his eyes
He pushed him harder against the wall "No you don't. This whole thing is because of you" he growled
"Umm Zach, ready to go" I said awkwardly
He looked over and once he saw me he let them go, but he glared at them once more then walked to me.
Zach didn't say anything to me the ride back. I let him drive. I sat silently staring out the window.
"What was that" I asked
"Nothing. They just...." He sighed
"I doesn't matter" he said getting out
I did the same and walked to Callie's going to my room. Zach went to his house.
Later when Zach left I quickly left in the convertible to. Once I was at the fight at made sure my hoodie was on then I banded my hands and walked inside.
Zach tried to talk to me but I ignored him pushing past him. Once my name was called I took the stage. Zach was right next to me.
"Vanessa please forgive me. I didn't me it like that" he said
"Bulshit I know exactly what you meant" I spat
I threw a punch and he dodged trying punch me but I quickly dodged punching his jaw.
He stumbled but regained his balance "I'm sorry"
I tripped him which made him fall on his face. I stepped on his back and pinned his arms. "Hows that for a girl" I growled
The ref called that i won and I walked off stage. Zach came up to me "look-"
"No I don't care" I quickly interrupted him but I was too
"Cops!" Someone yelled
I grabbed Zach and yanked him out the back door. I pulled him around and got into the convertible and sped around the corner. I could her sirens in the distance.
The wind knocked my hood of but I didn't have time to put it back up as I turned the next corner into an ally quickly.
"Lexi!?" Zach yelled
I ignored him and kept driving. Once we got away I stopped and Zach got off rubbing his temples.
"Zach you okay-" I asked but he interrupted me
"What the hell!?" He yelled at me
"What?" I asked
"You're Vanessa!? Why didn't you fucking tell me!?" He yelled
"I didn't want to tell you because I thought I'd be outta here by now. And when I actually wanted to stay I couldn't find a way to tell you. " I said
"Don't even give me any excuses. I don't want to here them" he said
"That's not an excuse! That's the truth!" I said my voice starting to raise
"You don't even tell me anything! It's like I don't know you. You have the walls you built around yourself. You don't let anyone in!" He yelled
"I have reasons!" I yelled
"Then tell me!" He screamed
I went silent. It's to hard to talk about.
"Well?" He asked his voice lowering
"It's to hard" I said quietly
"Just tell me!" He said irritated
"Zach, you don't understand—" I said
"No. tell me the truth" he cut me off
"I can't—" I started
"No. tell me" he grabbed me by the shoulders and shook me
"Zach get the hell off me" I yelled and pushed off of him
"Lexi tell me now" he said again
Everything began to build up inside me. All the memories. Fear. Pain. It all rushed to me as I yelled the words that I couldn't bare to say.
"I killed three people!"
His mouth opened but nothing came out.
"I'm a murder! Happy!?" I screamed at him starting to cry
He was now silent. Staring at me.
"My parents molested me. Then they have me up! They left me! At age 10 they dropped me off miles away then left!" I screamed now crying hard
"I'm sorry-" he started but I interrupted him
"Then guess what happened after I became a foster child! I found the love of my life! He was a street fighter and taught me. Then these guys came and killed him! Shot a bullet through his windshield while he was driving! Then I went and shot there children! Children! I shot them!" I screamed
I started crying harder. I sat down on the ground and held myself crying. I can't. I can't deal with it.
Water rushed down my red cheeks. I feel trapped. It was happening all over again. The guilt and frustration that overwhelmed me.
Every emotion that I had hidden from myself, the monster and horrible person I am now flowed out of me. I'm unable to control it.
Zach remained quiet.
