Friends.
Not something I'm good at. My way for everyone is to just block them out. Because once I have a potential friend they ask about my past. That's when you push them out. That's when they leave. That's when they're gone and think your a weirdo. Yeah, I've had plenty of times like this. They suck. This is why I have no friends.
Not like it's very important though, but here I actually want to fit in. I want to stay here. I think.
I don't know! I really really really like Zach. Can't be love...I mean I've only known him for like, three months-so um yeah....
I don't know but right now I'm sitting on the couch with Zach watching avengers. While I'm shoveling popcorn into my mouth I feel the couch move from under me. I pay no attention and continue watching.
I feel Zach's hand slide into my thigh.
I look over at him
"Are you trying to seduce me?" I asked
He burst out laughing.
"What? Want a lap dance with that?"
This only made him laugh harder and eventually I joined him.
Once our laughter was gone he said "you are so unpredictable"
I smiled at his comment.
There was silence but it was not awkward. It was comforting.
I looked at him and he looked back at me.
"Lexi..."
"Yes" I said
"I-I miss you" he said looking down
I moved next to him and wrapped my arms around him.
I knew exactly what he meant.
"I miss you to"
--------------------------
I'm in a dark room. To dark pitch black.
I feel out and land my hand on a wall. Suddenly the lights turned on. Once my eyes adjusted I could see that I was in a room with cement wall and no ceiling. Just black, and it seems to go on forever.
I walk to the center of the room looking up. Then out of no where I hear a voice.
"Why did you do it" said a small innocent voice
I looked down and saw the little girl.
I started backing up shaking my head.
"I didn't-I'm not that person" I said
"Yes you are. You are the lady who made my chest hurt." She said
I backed up till I hit the wall and closed my eyes shaking my head.
"I'm sorry" I whispered
"Too late for sorry. My daddy is sad now" she said
I opened my eyes to the same room but with a wall lined with guns.
"No! No!" I yelled
"You know what to do" she said
"No! I can't!" I yelled
"My daddy can" she said
Then I looked beside her and there stood the man who killed Dylan. He had a gun pointed at me.
"My daddy will do it if you don't" she said
With a shaky hand I picked up a pistol. Aimed it at the little girl, and closed my eyes. Then pulls the trigger.
I heard a loud scream as well as a thump on the floor.
I sat up screaming with tears pouring out of my eyes.
Callie ran in.
I was breathing hard and shaky.
"Lexi are you ok?" She asked
I nodded taking a deep breath. Then she left. I stay there and wait. A few minutes later the window opens and Zach climbs in.
Tears still pouring out of my eyes he came and held me. I held onto him.
"Lexi"
"Yeah" I said still with a shaky breath
"Are you ok" he asked with a soothing voice
"No"
He kissed my forehead.
"Try to sleep" he said
I nodded and after a few minutes drifted off into darkness.
------------------
When I woke up Zach was gone. I put on a black sports black and black shorts. I threw my hair into a pony tail and put on some gym shoes.
I walked downstairs and Callie was about to leave with coffee in hand.
"Going for a run?" She asked
"Yeah" I smiled
"Hey Lexi" she said as I was about walk out
"Yeah" I stopped in my tracks
"Is everything ok?" She asked
"It's good. Why?" I asked her
"Well you've been having nightmares...and I know you had a hard life, and things aren't easy. But you can always come to me"
I thought for a moment. Callie has been extremely nice...
No never.
I nodded and ran out the door.
