(Izaya's Point Of View)

"Eh! Namie!" I groaned as I looked into the full body mirror down the hall of my flat. "Look what the protozoan did to my shirt! Sure this is one out of many, but still..."

I could hear my assistant grumble and shift behind me. I could practically see her eyes roll as she replied not-so-happily, just a few moments ago complaining about her brother and being all lovey-dovey with his girlfriend.

"Oh, how sad." She replied in a sarcastic manner, practically forcing her arm through one of her white coat's sleeves. She was leaving for the day was in a few minutes, and that meant I was going to be left alone with my mirror and my messed up shirt. Of coarse, that wasn't the only thing that the monster happened to damage. A long thin line of a 'scratch' whipped across my chest, hurting slightly when I breathed. It didn't bleed much, but it was still dirty, and should probably be cleaned immediately.

Namie left without another word, wanting to go home and eat and spy on her brother. Namie would always get angry, saying that she wasn't spying, she was just watching, like people watching. 'Just like you do, so don't give me that look that it's creepy, because you aren't one to talk'. I had put on an amused face the whole time, finally sighing slightly and chuckled, which had angered her further.

'If that's what you call it. But what I do, is I watch many people at one time, a whole city at one time, while you watch one single human being out of thousands in this city.' At that, she humphed and turned abruptly to her computer, giving me her back.

I laughed at the memory. She was so jealous of her brothers girlfriend. It was discussing because they were siblings, her having feelings for her younger brother, but what made it even more disgusting, was that it was in a romantic way. It almost made me gag. Ew, love. How gross.

My stomach soon growled, hoping to get food, so I sighed, deciding to take a shower if it meant cleaning my wound first, and then having food, which I was craving Otoro so much at the moment. Just the thought of the Fatty Tuna made my mouth water. So I went upstairs and grabbed boxers a shirt and pants, and immediately went to the bathroom. I wasn't the kind of person to get many wounds apart from paper cuts, but I was very surprised that the protozoan was able to land a hit on me. Of coarse, I really didn't regret getting hit, he had made a face of achievement that soon was wiped away as soon as I cut his pant leg. Oh that wonderful face.

It was fury.

With one swift move my shirt was on the ground, and I stared at my chest. It wasn't so bad where I needed to call up Shinra and warn him that I was coming to ask for a bit of help. I meant it wasn't like a knife slit my throat right? At that though my body shivered, getting an image of my throat all cut, and probably killing me. I shook my head forcing the image out and proceeded to strip. One I was fully bare I got into the shower, the steam relieving my tense muscles and it made a content sigh escape my lips.

Scrubbing wasn't hard, all I had to do was avoid that specific area where my wound was so it wouldn't sting. It's not like scrubbing would make it feel any better. After washing my hair as well, I turned off the water and stepped out, drying myself. I dried my chest area along with my face and a bit of my hair, and wrapped my towel around my waist, so I could attend to the wound. The hot water that touched it was good to cleanse, but not all the way. I opened the cabinets doors to take out a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Grabbing a small towel, I pored some onto it and then proceeded to rub it on my chest. A slight hiss fell from my lips as it stung a bit.

'That stupid protozoan...'

Once cleansed, I wrapped my chest with some bandage that should be fine just for a day or two. Putting everything away, I proceeded to dry my bottom half and put on my clothes. My hair was a mess so I combed it a few times before walking out. The cool air outside the bathroom was refreshing contrasting the humid air of the bathroom after all that steam.

Putting my clothes in the hamper in my room, I put on some socks and walked downstairs to retrieve my coat and shoes, once again going to Ikebukuro to go get something to eat over at Simon's place.

After making sure my switch blade was in my jacket, I walked out, starting my way to 'bukuro. It was a leisure walk, not in a hurry to get to anywhere. Everyone seemed to be going home after a long days work, and just hoping to get home to their families and friends to have dinner and spend time with them. What petty humans. Of coarse, not everyone was like that. Some where in alleyway ready to jump out at you, and gangs were ready to pick up fights with others, and some were going to clubs because well 'yolo'.

Yolo, I've heard it countless times from teenagers, and I had always wondered what it meant, until Namie was talking about it once, obviously the conversation had to do with Seiji in the first place.

'You only live once. Yolo, this, and yolo, that. How can Seiji hang about with those people, especially that thing always by his side, it's disgusting. How dare she make my family's name all but.....?!'

She continued to rant on after that, I hadn't even interfered with her ranting, but I knew that she knew that I was listening to her. A chuckle came from my lips, as I slightly rolled my eyes. Oh Namie, what a strange being you are...

Before I knew it, I was greeting Simon outside his shop in Russian like usual, and I had made it inside safely without a certain blond making it difficult to arrive. Dennis looked up at me and I gave a nod "the usual." Dennis knew exactly what I was talking about and went to prepare the Sushi. Just the smell made my mouth water even more, absentmindedly licking my lips.

I was about to thank Dennis and walk out after giving him the money, but someone stopped me.

"OI! IZA-IZA~!" I sighed, tuning on my heal to be looking at Erika. She practically had stars in her eyes and the blush on her face told me just about what she was going to say. Boy, was this going to be one hell of a long afternoon.
