"You're going to love this place! Close to all the shops and clubs I'm sure you go to but it's  in a quiet street so you can relax too, and it's within your price range! Not that you had one to start off with," she finishes with a laugh.

I'm tagging this woman all around south London for the best part of two hours and she's already annoying me. All I want to do now is to go back to my hotel and sleep. I would consider moving into the hotel at this point just so I don't have to follow her around anymore that and the maids manage to clean the mess I make every day. She's doing a crap job so far trying to find me a place, they were either too big, too small, I would need to be a billionaire to buy them or miles away from any civilisation. She opens the thick wood door and light hits my face.

"TA-DA!" she announces, waving her hands around.

I push past her and look around the place. I step into the sitting room/ kitchen and stare at the open space. It was nice, really nice. The décor was a bit boyish but it could all be fixed with a lick of paint and some new furniture. Finally a place I could live in. As I walked around, her following me shouting random facts about architecture in my ear, I noticed that the place even had two bedrooms; the smaller one could be easily made into a walk in wardrobe.

"This apartment has granite topped counters in the state of the art kitchen it also includes its own balcony, you could put some chairs and a table outside for when you have clients over or friends?"

I never got people who have a balcony, okay if you live somewhere sunny and hot, but London? Really? It never gets enough nice weather for it to use. I take a look out the window and notice the clouds darkening over. Like hell am I going outside!

"Nah its fine, don't want to ruin my hair." I reply

"It has a fantastic view of the city, You can see the London eye from here," She tries to persuade me.

I never wanted to move to London, it just kinda happened. Dublin was boring me, same people and places. I needed a change so I decided to help my aunt out with her business over here. Then she got sick. I was there in the room when they told her the cancer had spread so far that all she could do was wait and die. I held her hand as she passed away and in turn she left everything to me, her house, her business, everything. Even down to her jewellery. Now all I need to do is not fuck it all up. I packed up her house in the Cotswold and decided to move here. It made sense, me living in a city and not in her huge house in the middle of nowhere, a lot of her profitable business was in the city it was easier for me to be here if there was an emergency.

"The owners are hoping for a quick sale from this, something to do with them leaving the country. I'm sure if you offer under the asking price they'll take it, free up some capital for you." She tells me, hope written in her eyes.

"What's the asking price?"

"850, if you offer 820 I'm certain they'll snap it up."

What's there to lose?

"I'll take it."

If I had a camera I'd of taken a picture of her face.

"You're going to love living here! Lots of young professionals live in this complex. And the previous owner said you don't have neighbours so I'm sure you could have parties and not get caught." She smiles.

I just stared at her. I seriously needed a drink after today.

"You want to go back to the office and put in an offer?" she asks me, excitement in her voice.

"Sure" I reply, trying to match her enthusiasm

I walk out of the apartment as she closes the huge wood door behind us.
