chapter 1

It was a cold rainy day, the worst day of the year for my family. There was a war that has started in between my family and another rival family. My family was the only ones that survived, my family was kicked out of the state and had to find another. We had been traveling for what seemed like years, but we eventually found a home in Texas. We didn't know if there was another pack here or what we just knew that we found a safe home.

Lachlan's POV
I was walking to school with my best bud Jay, we have been friends for about 8 years. We went to Lancaster High School and we had our friends Jay, Preston, Rob, Mitch, Jerome and Vikk, we were all a bit cautious about Vikk even though he hung out with us he was still in the Sidemen pack. The Sidemen were our worst enemies, our packs clash right at the border of Texas and Mexico.

Emma's POV
My parents made me in roll into Lancaster High, which I really didn't want to go to. Not knowing who will be there made me worry a bit, being to new girl an all. Thank jeez i was late, that meant there was no other students walking around and I was by myself and all I had to do was go to the office, get a timetable and get shown around the school. When I finally found the office there was a very Hansom young boy that was standing at the desk.

Conversation with office lady (OL), Emma (E), jay (J)
OL- Hello, how can I help you?
E- um.... My name is Emma Hills I in rolled here last week.
OL- yes yes, Jay would you mind showing Emma around the school.
J- no, I would love to show a new student around, plus I get out of class.
OL- ok, Emma if you could follow Jay he will show you around the school.

J- so where are you from?

E- im from New York

J- your along way from home, what made you move here?

E- yeah, my family wanted to start fresh.

After the conversation Emma noticed sothing strange about Jay, he wold always keep his distance and be very fidgety. She brushed it off and kept exploring the new school with him

Emma's POV

there was a strnge smell in the air, i couldnt quite put my finger on in, but i had a feeling that it was a bit mysterious. i kept following him around the school, he had a clear sparkle in his eyes and his hair and all messy like. Emma focus he's probably someone dangerous, but how can someone be so dangerous but so good looking. When we finished exploring, he took me to my next class turns out hes in all of my classes except for study he has AFL .

Lachlan's POV

Jay can racing up to me an said he has something very important to tell me alone.

L- hey bud whats.....

before i could finish he interupted me.

J- theres this new girl at our school and...

L- Jay, stop flirting with the ladies, your supposed to be focused on your AFL training.

J- psh, i dont need to flirt they just come running for me. but seriously theres something about her that doesnt seem right, she came from New York to a small country town and she has his strange smell that i have never smelt before.

L- text our boys to be on high alert.

Lachlan's POV

if this girl is what i think she is then we must watch out, we dont know if shes a rival or shes just moved here for safer reasons. At lunch i will have all my boys together to discuss this important situation, and what to do about it.

Emma's POV

when the lunch bell rang i was walking around and then finally found the canteen area, when i found a nice spot to sit outside i had the feeling that someone was watching me. when i turned around to see who it was no one was watching me, i continued to eat. when i saw Jay with his friends sit on a bench, i waved at him but he just looked away then his whole group just stared at me. i had a bad feling they where the pack that owned this land, i got up quickly and started to walk to wards the gate to the forest. i knew it was a bad idea but i had to get away from them.
