Jack Barakat - All Time Low

Jack's P.O.V

I ran over to Alex as he fell to the ground. I caught him and pulled him up on the couch. "What happened?" I asked him as he sobbed. "Sami she's gone Jack, she's gone" He cried, I rubbed his back and shushed him.

"It's okay Alex, I'll love you" I said crying to make him feel better. He smiled at that and I returned a smile.

~A couple of months later~

Sami and I have been getting closer and closer, and honestly I'm starting to have feelings for her, I'm in love with Sami, Alex's ex girlfriend. I can't ask her out though, Alex is my best friend since grade 8, I can't brake the bro code. I can't hurt him like that, I just can't

I sat on my couch playing and writing a song. The song was about wanting to be in a relationship but not wanting to betray your best friend who's basically your brother. So basically the situation I'm in.

My phone went off and I put down my guitar and picked up my phone, I had a text;

To: Jack

From: Sami

Hey, can we meet somewhere I wanna talk to you about something, please?

She sounded desperate, I wondered what she wanted to talk about.

To: Sami

From: Jack

Yeah, where do you want to meet up?

To: Jack

From: Sami

Um, how about we go for a walk by the lake?

To: Sami

From: Jack

Yeah, meet you at the spot in 1o?

To: Jack

From: Sami

Yeah, see you there.

We had a spot by the lake where we sit and talk. I got my leather jacket and shoes. I locked the door to my house and went to meet Sami at the spot. We sat down on the rocks by the lake.

She was being quiet and was nervous. "Sami what's wrong?" I asked with a soft voice. "I-I don't know how to tell you" She mumbled. I put my hand on her knee "You can tell me anything, I promise." She looked at me. "Jack-Jack, I-I" She sighed in frustration then moved closer to me and kissed me.

I was surprised but kissed right back, this is what I wanted. A rush of guilt passed through me and I pulled away abruptly. She looked down "I-I'm sorry" She apologized. "No don't be. I wanted to do that for a while but-but your Alex's ex, I can't break the bro code"

She nodded then said "I'm sorry I have to go" She got up and walked away. I sighed and went home. There was still guilt that I had. I had to talk to Alex.

I called him and he was gonna come over so we could talk. He knocked on the door and I invited him in. He sat on the couch while I got two beers. I came out with them, giving one to Alex and sitting down.

"What did you want to talk about?" He asked. "I-I" I couldn't get the words out. "Jack" He said softly. "Sami and I kissed" I admitted. "You-you what?!" He yelled trying to wrap his head around what I had said, he sounded pissed.

"Sami and I-" I started. "Yeah, I heard you the first time" He snapped. I put my head down in shame. "I'm sorry" I said. He loosened up. "Dude, it's okay. Do you like her? You know like, like-like?" I nodded my head slowly.

"I do Alex, I have for a while. But I didn't want to tell you because I was scared of how you would react." I mumbled. "Jack, look at me" I raised my head up and looked at his face. He didn't look mad anymore.

"Alex-" I started. "No, shut up let me talk" He said cutting me off. I shut up and put my full attention towards him. "Look, I'm not mad. If you like her and she likes you, you should date. Just because it didn't work out between me and her doesn't mean it won't work between you two."

Alex and I talked for a bit, then he went home. Alex said we could date and it didn't bother him so I was going to as her out.

Sami's P.O.V

I liked Jack I really did, but kissing him I think was the wrong choice. He is Alex's best friend my ex. I was so stupid he would never betray Alex, never. God it's so complicated.

After I kissed him I left and went home. I closed the door and locked it behind me. I slid down the door crying. I'm sure Jack hates me now. Everything's ruined.

After a couple of hours Jack texted me telling me he wanted to talk. I told him to come over. I stood up and took off my shoes then sat on the couch with my head in my hands until I arrived. When he arrived I opened the door and we sat on the couch.

I sat with my legs crossed and my head down. We stayed silent until he broke it "Sami" he said then lifted my head up with his finger.

"Look Sami I like you a lot. I mean like I've had a crush on you for a while. The kiss, it wasn't a mistake. It was what I wanted too, I jut didn't have the balls to tell you or Alex. Alex, he's my best friend. But-"

"But you can't break the bro code, I know" I said cutting him off.

"No, well yes but I talked to Alex and he was mad at first but he wants me to date you if it makes us happy. So, will you be my girlfriend, Sami?" I was so surprised by what Jack just said that I couldn't say anything. I was speechless.

Jack sat there waiting for an answer. I pressed my lips to his. After a minute we pulled away. "I'll take that as a yes" He said cockily. "Yes you idiot" I replied sarcastically. I kissed him again then went to the bathroom to see how I looked after crying.

God I looked horrible. I had make-up down my face, tear stained cheeks and red bulgy eyes. I cleaned myself up then went back down to Jack.

"How could you even look at me when I looked like that?" I asked. "Because you're beautiful to me no matter how you look" He said then pressed his lips to mine. I felt fire works go off inside me and I couldn't believe I have Jack as a boyfriend.
