-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Her trembling hands brushed through my hair.
She pulled me close, her tears flowed fast,
As she wished this moment would never last.

My father stood, his strength a mask,
But his heart broke with every task.
He'd thought he'd always keep me safe,
But now stood helpless by my grave.

My brother came, though hearts apart,
For family still held a place in his heart.
He stayed for them, our parents, our sister,
Even if between us, no bridge stood at all.

He knelt beside me, in silent shock,
Remembering our talks, the laughs, the mock.
He touched my hand, now cold and still,
Thinking of the bond we once had, now dead.

Among them stood one who loved me true,
His hands held mine, his heart I knew.
Through tears and pain, he stayed so near.
A quiet strength, a voice sincere,
Grieving for me, yet holding me here.

But in the silence, his sorrow shone,
For a love now lost, a heart overthrown.
He mourned the future we'll never share,
The broken dreams, the empty air.

Together they cried, a family torn,
Grief-stricken, lost, and deeply worn.
The paramedics came, with faces grave,
But their efforts couldn't make me brave.

They knew I was gone, my life now past,
And gently placed me, cold and fast.
My family watched, numb with pain,
Their world now shattered, never the same.

The day moved on, in a daze of grey,
As news spread slowly, in a painful way.
A few close friends arrived with faces pale,
Wondering how this joy could fail.

They saw the light I always gave,
But now stood silent by my grave.
Acquaintances sent words in text,
Some memories fond, some slightly vexed.

Online friends from distant lands,
Heard the news and wrung their hands.
Messages sent, but left unread,
Their hearts now heavy with what was said.

They mourned in silence, across the screen,
Remembering the bond we'd seen.
But none had known the hidden fight,
That led me to this darkest night.

The day after I died, the world felt wrong,
Full of grief, and heavy as a song.
My family, friends, and love near me,
Gathered near, trying to hold on while wishing I were here.
