~Chapter Eleven~

Niall's POV:

"We need to talk," Liam says, pulling me into his room.

"About what?" I ask, looking at my phone. He pulls it out of my hand, clearly ticked.

"You know 'what'" He exclaims.

"Actually, I don't!" I respond loudly.

"You're using Kayla! You're just trying to get revenge! Do you not realize how low that is?"

"I don't care how low it is! She hurt me and she isn't even sorry!"

"That's bull and you know it. She cancelled her date with Landon because she doesn't want to hurt you again. Meanwhile, you're lying to Kayla and Addie about your feelings, and you're hurting her. A lot! You don't seem to care that you're doing exactly what she did to you!"

"I don't need you to lecture me!" I yell at him, my face flushed with anger.

"Apparently you do! You're treating her like trash!"

"BECAUSE I HATE HER!" I scream, even though I know I'm lying. I regret it immediately, wishing I could take it back.

"You h-h-hate me?" I turn and see Addie standing in the doorway, looking defeated. Tears stream down her face as she trembles visibly. I'm speechless, not knowing whether to keep up the act. She turns and leaves, roughly wiping away tears as she stumbles down the hallway.

"I can't believe you," Liam says, clearly disgusted with me. I'm still staring at where she had been standing, wishing desperately that I could take it all back. Take back the months of avoiding her, lying to her, breaking her heart. This whole time I've been saying how cruel she had been to me and then I turn around and do the exact same thing she did to me to her.

I look up and see that Liam left. I have no idea how long I've been standing here, but I notice that I'm crying silently, finally letting out the emotion that I've been bottling up for years. I slump down against the wall, and allow myself to sob. It feels weird, because I've never truly cried since she cheated on me. I feel broken, finally realizing that we can never, and will never, be together.
