"I don't know what we're going to do with him!"
"Send him to a military camp!"
"Well he's your son,too!"
"Do whatever you want with him!"
This is my daily routine. Me getting in trouble at school or with the neighbors or stealing something from the drugstore. My parents are always getting mad at me and I think they're finally going to do something about it. For some weird reason a couple months ago, they thought I was on drugs and that was the last straw. They've been thinking about sending me to military school. But I don't think they will.
A few weeks ago my grandma was talking to my mom and she told her about this summer camp that helped put troublemakers on the right track. My mom considered this, but I don't believe I'll go. "This camp will be good for Griffin," my grandmother told my mom. "I'm not sure. What if Griffin doesn't change?" "He will. Trust me," said grandma. "I'll think about it," replied mother.
That night,my mother spoke to my father and gladly,he disagrees. "He won't change anyway," my father stated. "Yes he will we just have to have faith in him," my mother replied."trust me,I think your mother might be right." My father sighs. "Okay.Let's send him," said my father.
WHAT?!? My father wants to send me there?!? Why...how could he betray me that way?!? I think he might be drunk. No he's not, I know this for sure. My mom doesn't allow alcohol in this house. I can't believe my father would do such a thing! And it's all grandma's fault! Wow!
I storm into my folks' room. "I can't believe you sick people! How could you do such a thing?!? If you guys truly loved me, you wouldn't do this! I'm pretty sure you guys aren't even my real parents if you do this! Wow!" I run out and I make sure to slam my room door extremely loud so they could hear.
I can hear my mother sobbing. "You know what? Let's just not send him. He can change without a summer camp," my mother says in between sobs. "No. I'm more determined now to send him than I was before. He's going. And that's final," says my father.
Wow. I can't believe my dad. Is he stupid?!? If he knows nothing will change me then why try?!? And the worst part is,the summer camp starts the first day of summer vacation. That's really stupid! Why can't I at least have some fun first? Go to a few parties, steal a few more things. All I ask for is some freedom for a little while longer...
