Scott didn't think it would end up like this.
He never planned on becoming a killer, and he never thought he would end someone's life.
But he thought wrong, and he didn't like it at all.
The stench of blood and death filled the kitchen, blood spreading rapidly throughout the room. If Scott didn't clean up his mess sooner, it would reach the carpet-And no one wants a stained carpet-not a blood stained one at least. It took the male a few minutes to collect his sanity, and to get a grip of reality, but once he came pack, his heart thumped with excitement and fear. So many questions filled his head. He knew what he had to do: get rid of the body, clean up, and hide the evidence. Scott couldn't go to jail, no, it would be a living hell for him.
Jund checked the windows, praying that the neighbors didn't see or hear anything suspicious. Luckily for him, most of the neighborhood residents were asleep. With a quick tug, Jund shut the window blinds in the kitchen, and other rooms of the house. No one could see. He would be fine, right? "I'll be okay, no one saw."
Now to dispose of the body. Shit, how do you dispose of the body? Jund didn't know this, he wasn't a killer. Well...
The male heaved a deep sigh, and made cautious steps towards the kitchen cabinet. It felt like every step he took, every breath he inhaled, every movement, would cost him his life. He crouched down and opened the cabinet, looking for a pair of gloves that would hide his fingerprints. It's not like he needed them. Jund planned on hiding the body somewhere where nobody would search for a body, so why bother? "It's always good to take precaution." Scott turned around to face the body. Eugh, what a disgusting sight. The flies in his house has already seem to have taken a liking of the body. Gross. Scott took several steps to the side, keeping his eye on the body, while making his way towards the kitchen closet. He reached back, twisting the knob, and using his hands to search for the trash bags. "Aha! Found one." He whispered, still fearing someone could hear him. He tugged on the bag in the small cardboard box, ripping it out slowly. Jund returned to the body, and evened out the trash bag in the air, making room for the corpse. Carefully, Scott bent down and started to push the body into the bag, hoping to fill it entirely. His hopes were crushed once he realized the legs wouldn't fit inside the bag. Of course they wouldn't. Maybe if it was a child it would, but not with a tall middle aged man. Jund came to the conclusion he would have to cut the legs off. Something Scott could never bring himself to do.
Tears started to escape his eyes, and before Scott knew it, he started having a mental break down. "Oh god, oh god, oh no, oh god oh no oh god oh no, why me, why did I ever do this, why did I ever even, just, ugh, aghhh!"
His knees started to tremble, and he needed a place to sit. And considering the situation he was in, the floor seemed like a really nice place to sit for now. Backing up to the kitchen sink, the male let himself slide down until he reached the floor, his body trembling. Jund's sobs could probably be heard a block away, but he didn't care anymore. He lost all faith in himself, and-click
Oh no. Why didn't Scott check the clock sooner. He should have saw this coming. He should have known Snake would be coming home at this time. Said Snake entered the home, shuffling his feet on the mat, oblivious to the scene in front of him. "What the fuck is that sm-" Snake's gaze reached Jund's, and the smaller male let out a horrified sob. "S-snake I... I can explain!" Scott scrambled to his feet, nearly tripping. He took slow steps towards Snake, putting his arms out in defense.
"Campbell... What..." Snake looked down at the body in the bag near Scott's feet. His mouth and eyes widening.
Jund's heart raced, and all he wanted to do was run into Snake's arms. Tell him he was sorry. Tell him he never wanted to kill him. He wanted all of this to just go away, and make this all just a bad dream. Scott watched Snake's reaction, afraid of what the taller man would do.
Snake's eyes flickered back up at Jund. "Explain. Everything." Jund let out the breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Oh my god, Snake I'm so sorry, I just-" "NOW, Jund." Ouch, that hurt. Snake never raised his voice. Flinching, Scott put down his arms, and looked down. Avoiding Snake's gaze. "I-I was preparing dinner, and the door rang, and he was there and he asked me if I had seen his dog, and I didn't, so I told him no, but he just wouldn't listen! Even after I told him no, he kept asking, and it... I... I couldn't take it anymore..." Scott trailed off at the end, letting his head drop. "I'm so fucking sorry." Snake shook his head in disappointment. Snake's instincts told him to run. To run over to Jund, to comfort him, tell him everything was alright.
But that's not what policemen do.
Snake reached into his pocket, grabbing his police force radio. Jund looked up at the speechless man, and once he spotted the radio in Snake's hand,  his face twisted in pain and fear.
"Snake... Please..."
"No, Jund, don't.. Don't say anything."
Scott looked into Snake's eyes, his hands and knees shaking. He never wanted this.
Snake took a few steps until he was directly in front of Jund, and he grabbed his hand, holding it close to him. Tears rushed down both of their faces, and Snake bit his lip. "Trust me, this is going to hurt me more than it's going to hurt you."
"What are you.. No..."
Snake put the radio closer to his mouth, pressing the push to talk button.
"We have a 140 on Mulberry lane."
"We'll be right with you-wait, Isn't that your hou-"
Snake shut the radio off, shoving it back into his pocket. Be reached for Jund's other hand, but the dark haired male moved back. "Snake... I-no... Please..." With an exasperated sigh, Snake reached out for Scott's shoulder, pulling him back into Snake.
The two stayed like that for a good five minutes until Snake pulled back, still holding Jund's hand tightly.
"Just know, what ever happens, you'll be okay. I'll wait for you to get out. I love you, Colonel." As if Scott couldn't cry anymore, tears covered the lower part of his face, and had already made parts of his shirt soaked. "I.." He choked on a sob as sirens were heard faintly in the distance, getting closer to their house.
Scott wrapped his arms around Snake.
"I love you too."
