Chapter one

Okay let's rewind a little and see what had happened the day before. So I got up and went to school; it's been a week or two since I visited my family in Minnesota. So I got to school on time and sat with everyone at breakfast.

"Look at that girl she has a bird face!" Emily pointed at a girl walking towards the breakfast line. Everyone looked and laughed at her but me.

"Oh, wait look at her!" Grace said pointing. I looked over to see an over weight girl sitting down with her friends. "Ha look she bent the table!"

I looked down at myself; I wasn't exactly skinny. My cheeks flared red in anger and sadness, I stood up without a word and walked out.

"You're here early." Tyler said in surprise, taking out his earbuds.

"Wasn't hungry." I lied lowly. "You're never here until 8:05 YOU'RE early."

"Yeah I couldn't go back to sleep so I just came here." a girl came by and started to talk to him so I started to read, trying to block this morning from my mind.

*

We finished our work in English and just decided to talk. I was currently talking to Jayde and Eli about the cords on his backpack.

"I've tried to make the loop smaller and I can do it." he said proudly, well with as much emotion as Eli normally has.

"I don't believe you." I said narrowing my eyes at him.

"Got something? I'll do it." He challenged.

I started digging through my bag and something caught my eye.

"Here." I said handing him a piece of dental floss.

he quickly got to work, Jayde watching him closely. after a couple of seconds I got bored, so I walked up to the teachers desk where Kacey and Emily were talking to the sub. We talked a bit about how tall our siblings were, laughing about how tall mine were when Eli walked up.

"Here," He said plunking it into my hand. "It's not that good but it is tiny."

"This is really cool!" I stared at it in wonder. My wrapping skills weren't nearly this good. "I'm stealing this and putting it in my locker." I said, putting tape on it vaguely aware of Kacey watching me.

"Whatever." Eli said walking back to his desk. The bell tang signaling the end of second hour. I got out late, having to zip up my backpack, and went to the locker Kacey, Kaitlin and I shared, seeing Kacey already there, talking to a sophmore.

"Hi." I put the loop in there and grabbed my Algeabra II book and turned to Kacey, who was laughing at my loop. I frowned slightly, but perked up ignoring it. "Bye."

"Bye." she said as I walked away.

Great. Time to melt my brain.
