The Runner's Game

The Training. Cpt.3

Today is the first day of training and I'm bit nervous because I will probably be the only female there. After thie trial I got taken to a room, Which is now my room. Its on the second floor of the palace and it is quite big. On had the right side of the door was a queen size bed and the wall directly ahead had a dresser and french doors onto a small belconey. Opposite the bed is a small is bathroom. I'm currently sitting on my bed wondering what to do. My door opens slightly revealing an older lady, Who enters my room carrying a bag. "Good morning love, My name is Katie and you will be helping around the palace until your sentence is up. Oh and I almost forgot her are some clothes for training, your uniform and your backpack." She places the bag on the bed. "Thank you for that Katie. I am Mia as you probably already know." She perks up a little as I talk. "Oh yes you are the talk of the castle. Well I better get going, I will come back at four to get you." She shuts the door quietly as she leaves me.

I walk out of the bathroom with only a towel on. As I get to the bed the clock next to it tells me that its only seven thirty, okay only an hour left. I grab my backpack and find black undies and fluro green sports bra., I quickly chuck them on and keep searching through the bags until I find some black spandex shorts, black ankle socks and some bright green Nike air theas. Once I'm dressed and my hair in a high pony tail, I check the time once more and its now eight fifteen. Wow, That took longer than expected. I leave my room and walk towards the kitchen only to grab a bottle of water from the fridge and and apple.

I munch on my apple on my way towards the training field. Once outside all I see are dudes. Hot dudes training. Without shirts. The majority of them stop training just to look at me but I pay them no mind. I stand in the middle and look around the field taking note of everything and as I turn I see a girl probably my age with lovely long blonde hair and green eyes. She waves at me so me being polite I wave back and make my way over to her. "Hello I'm Mia." I stick my hand out for her to shake which she takes happily. "Jordan. So are you in the training class?" I nod my head and relief washes over her facials. "Good because I don't want to be the only girl in a training class full of like eighteen men." We look at each other and start to giggle. "Jordan you are now my new best friend." I smile at the thought of hanging out with her. "Good because I have no friends. What are you doing later today, after training? Because we should so have a sleepover." Do I tell her about staying in the palace or not? Well soon she will know everything about so why not. "Well I have to work until nine so after that we could meet up at the palace because that's where I'm staying." I looked up and she just had a smile on her face. "Sounds good. I will meet you in the kitchen at nine." I nod in agreement.

"Everyone gather around." We link arms and walk towards the group of men. "Hello everybody as you all know I am Alpha King Dominic and this young lad next to me is my son Xavier and soon to be Alpha King." Omg he is the dude that tackled me oh this is awkward. Jordan and I briefly exchange glances. "Well today we will testing your speed. We have set up a track that goes around the whole field. Which is about three miles all up. The current record held by my son is at two minutes and thirty one seconds and if anyone beats it which is not very likely you and another person of your choosing can have the rest of the day free of training. Let's get started." We both turn to look at each other and we both know if we break the record we will pick each other.

Everyone follows the king towards the start line and lines up. Jordan and I are at the very back. They are about half way through when Jordan nudges me. "Yeah?" She look around ad sniffs the air. "Do you smell that?" I sniff the air and it smells completely normal. "Nope, what does it smell like?" She sniffs again. "Wood, cinnamon and peaches." I stare at her in awe as she looks around until she stops and looks at something behind me. I turn and see Xavier and a man who looks to be Eli. Eli looks around and his gaze lands on Jordan. I look back at Jordan "mate." She says it so quietly I can hardly hear it even with the werewolf hearing. She looks at me all excitedly as her mate walks towards us along with Xavier
