I gobbled my breakfast up the next day as quickly as I could and ran back up,I didnot want to leave his story alone any longer.
Entry 5
I had my eyes closed, waiting, any second now, there was no movement so I opened my eyes slightly to find sharp brown eyes right in front of me,I started trembling in my place,no sound coming out.I could hear my heartbeat in the deafening silence.
The man just went on staring at me,then I made the mistake of letting tears trickle down my cheeks, befoew I knew it,my face stinged from where the man had slapped me,"Wimps, all Hazara's!"He spat at me and stood up.
He pulled my hand so hard,it felt like it had come out of its socket,he pulled me to the door and pushed me out.Another man came up,his wide grin missing the front few teeth,"It's a kid."He shouted to someone in a black jeep.
I heard a window roll down and someone say something in farsi but my eyes refused to move from the sight that beheld me,Mama,Baba!
I turned to the man and spoke in a soft voice,"What did they do to you? Why did you do this?"I heard my voice tremble with tears.
"What did you say boy?"The man said gruffly, placing his hand around my arm and squeazing it,the he twisted it behind my back, the pain was too much,I shouted out, tears falling harder.
"Never question the force."He let go and pushed me so I fell to the ground,"Never!"He placed his heavy black boot on my back and pushed,I felt my breathing constrict, the tiny stones digging into my skin,I blinked back the tears as Baba's voice rang in my ears,Never settle for the underneath Sohrab, but sometimes, give in temporarily,Allah will help you soon.So I didnot scream,I didn't shout,or cry,I held onto my belief, onto baba's belief, baba, his clothes red! No! I shut my eyes tight and tried to remove the picture from mind.
The man pulled me up from the back of my shirt and threw me into the trunk of a car, shutting the lid.I heard the engine start and tyres screeching.I let go,I started crying, shoulders trembling and loud sounds coming from my mouth,I knew no one could hear me.
"Bachem, bachem,"I felt my shoulders shaking,I opened my eyes to see a tiny, thin man, blinking back sleep and looking at me with a concerned expression.
"Where am I,Kaka?"I asked him.
"At the..."He sighed heavily,"The gate of an orphanage, bachem."He paused for a second before speaking again,"Your parents...?"
I started crying at the mere mention and he looked at me sadly,"I am sorry, come with me."I nodded and let him lead me into the tiny building.

Entry 6
I woke everyday in that orphanage for the next two weeks,we were 4 children per single bed, there was hardly any room to turn,to breathe, and the floor was crawling with insects and rodents, only thise with a death-wish dared sleep on it.
I lay awake everynight, just thinking about mama and baba, there would be gunshots at times too,and screams, but it was mostly just their thoughts that kept me awake,I was sad,sad beyond belief, what had my parents ever done to those men to have to pay with their lives?!
What had I ever done to them to have me live through it all.Wouldn't I just be better gone?
It was on the night of my fifteenth day there that I cried,my sobs pressing out of my heart,my stomach turning,I felt sick,I was sick, sick and tired of everything that was happening.
The next morning, the orphanage owner called me to his office,"Sohrab bachem."He was standing just outside the tiny room.
"Yes Zaman kaka?"I peered at him and saw a desperate yet scared look in his eyes and instantly felt the urge to run,run away from there, but I stayed, because where would I go anyway? His eyes cried out,and my eyes were slowly filling with tears.
"Come child."He said hesitantly, sadly, reaching for my hand.
"No kaka,I don't want to,I want to go to sleep."I pulled my hand back,a weird feeling of dread settling over me.
"No Sohrab, come with me."He said somewhat firmly and pulled me into the room where a man in a long white shirt sat with his back to us,a chill spread through the room as he turned his head slightly our way,"Oh good, finally you are back with the child."He started to stand as the director stepped forward.
"Sahib...the uh..."Zaman kaka spoke softly.
"Yes yes...it is on your table."The man spoke, looking at the table disgustedly.
"Tashakor agha."Kaka said softly and moved aside to let the man pass, the man grasped my wrist tightly and pulled me out with him,"Kaka..."I whispered as he led me out but Zaman kaka didnot even look up,"Kaka."I couldn't see where we were going, tears flooding my eyes,"Kaka."I whimpered.
"Hush little Sohrab,we are going to a magical place,we will enjoy...alot."He smiled,I did not like his smile,it was...evil.Yes,that was it,everything about him was evil, the bad that Baba used to talk about,he seemed to be that bad,I don't know why,but he seemed to be all the bad in the world, each and every single drop.

He sat me next to him in a black jeep, with black tinted windows, and drove so very fast.He hummed and whistled merrily the entire way to a huge white house with large wooden doors and a beautiful garden, the house was very pretty, with little flower baskets hoisted up on the walls next to the doors. It was how pretty it was that gave me hope that maybe, just maybe, this was a new beginning, the beginning of a new life, better than the life of the past two weeks.
The man opened the door and took hold of my arm, roughly pulling me into the building,"Well Sohrab,do you know why I have brought you here?"He asked, sitting down on a sofa.
"No Agha."I shook my head and stared at the floor, why was this man wearing those dark glasses? Was there something wrong with his eyes?
"Hassan always had been good at hiding."
At the mention of Baba,I blanched,"You knew Baba?"I managed to choke out.
"Respect is a wonderful thing Sohrab,Hassan knew it well, you should know it too,"He spat,"You will never address me."He boomed and shouted for someone,"Javid!"
"Yes Agha sahib."A man ran out from another room,he had willow brown hair, and sparkling eyes,a cap placed on his head. His black boots made a creaking sound on the ground as he walked our way.
"The Hazara will go upstairs."The White Man said to Black Boots and handed me over to him,"Yes Agha sahib."He gripped my arm tightly, his nails digging into it and pulled me along,"And Javid, don't touch the boy."White Man ordered and walked away.
Black Boots nodded and turned around,I saw anger flash across his face as he pulled me up the massive stairs,"Move quickly boy, hurry up,"He growled.
The hope I had in the car had evaporated into thin air now,was life going to get worst now, would the White Man be more terrible to me than the past few weeks?
