Octavia Tocci sat in the interrogation room as Detective Ryan Sanders had one hand on this forehead and one holding a notepad. He stared at the blank page.
"Miss Tocci, so far you have not told me anything worth noting down, which signifies that you either have nothing to say for yourself or that you are guilty."
"I'd chose the former, Detective.I have nothing to say in my defence."
The Detective went outside the interrogation room to talk to Miss Ruby, the Captain of the 3rd precinct. They exchanged a few words and Sanders came back in.
"Octavia Tocci, this is your last chance to -"
"Oh!Don't give me all of that crap! You and I both know officer that you are not confident about this arrest!"
"Shut up! Dammit! You were found with the body of a strangled woman who you probably presumed dead, not any strangled woman, Miss Tocci, it was a police officer, a cop, my freakin' assistant for the love of god!If Kwalsky hadn't observed the movement in the trunk, I would have transported Natasha and you, the killer-"
Octavia thought about putting up her atheist argument, but thought it was not exactly the time.Maybe later.
"Currently only a potential one, I have not yet been convicted.By the way what is the person's condition? The one that was in the trunk I mean?"
"What!? Not been convicted? You were found with the the strangled person."
"Strangulated person, your expression and tone of voice suggests, Detective that the person of interest is alive."
"You were not supposed to know that."
"Yes, I assumed that, however, I think I might be of a little assistance here."
Sanders fell quiet for a few minutes and then spoke,
"May I know, milady, how that is possible?"
"I can tell you all that happened."
Sanders looked at her with searching eyes.Probably wondering whether she was bluffing. Then, he went outside the interrogation room yet again, again exchanged a few words with the Captain and brought in a recorder.
Octavia now felt like she had all of Sanders' attention. As soon as he'd finished setting up the recording equipment, he ordered,
"Speak."

"So what you're practically trying to tell me is that you saw three people just leave the suitcase there saying that they were to return in the evening."
"Yes.Yes that's what I'm saying."
"Hmmmm. Alright.Even if I do believe you, what can you produce in court as evidence that you are in no way related to the crime? We did find you at the crime scene."
Octavia thought for a while. She had to choose her words carefully so as to not reveal that she and HR had met.
"Your assistant."
"Excuse me?"
"This Natasha that you say is alive, she should be able to tell us."
"What if they'd drugged her?"
"I don't know, I'm but a lawyer, not a fortune teller."
Sanders stopped the recording. What this woman in front of him had told her was valuable information. It was something worth noting down.
