Chapter 3

Austin's POV

1 day later

"Guys she's waking up," I let Joanna and Christina know as I get up from my seat.

"Oh my god, thank goodness," Joanna says relieved wiping tears from her eyes. Christina just jumps out of her seat and cries, I'm guessing of joy,she then says," I thought we would lose her."

"Where am I? Why are you guys talking like that," Evelyn asked confused and looking around the room.

"You don't remember?" I asked with a confused face.

"Well, I remember me running away from you and then I got hit by something," she said trying so hard to remember. It hurt me to see her like this, all hurt, even though I now know her for one day only. Apparently one day was strong enough to notice love at first sight is so real.

"Let me tell you then..." I started out.

*flashback*

"Hold up Evelyn!" I screamed to get her attention but she kept going. All of a sudden I hear "BOOM!" and now I'm running full speed to her. I pick her up from the road in front of the car. I can't believe it. I think to myself this is my fault for knocking into her and running after her. It's all my FAULT!

"Help! Someone call 999," I yell for help. Alex Constancio, my best friend, was apparently running after me cause he was looking down over me to Evelyn.

"Don't worry man I'm on it!" Alex assured me he was calling.

"Hurry up man she's hurt and can't feel a pulse!" I yelled at him to hurry up because Evelyn does not look so good. All of a sudden I turn to Alex and he was off the phone already.

*5 minutes later*

"Finally!" I say as soon as I hear the ambulance and police getting closer and closer as I sob more and more. After like a minute after I told Alex she had no pulse she got one, so I just held her really close to me to keep her warm and alive. As I look around I see a lot of people staring but that didn't matter right now, the only thing that mattered was, Evelyn.

All I saw a few seconds after was the paramedics come towards me. They started putting a neck brace on Evelyn and they eventually put her on a gurni.

"Who's coming with her in the ambulance?" A young female paramedic asks me.

"Uh, hey who's coming with me in the ambulance?" I turn to see Evelyn's friends.

"I will, since I'm her sister," one of them said.

"Okay, hey Alex take her friend to the hospital where we are going," I demanded.

"Okay, come on, uh?" Alex said, studdering.

"Christina and okay, let's hurry to drive behind them," apparently one of her friends name is Christina, well she said to Alex. Alex just nodded and ran to the car with Christina.

I turned to look to her other friend,"Uh, come on let's go".

"Yeah, yeah let's go and by the way I'm Joanna, Evelyn's sister." She let me know.

"Okay, and nice to meet you Joanna," I said nicely but concerned yet of Evelyn.
