"Can't someone in this town stay dead?" Peter exclaimed angrily, turning around and stalking over to the wall of windows in the loft.
"I think they were hoping you would," Octavia responded dryly.
"You always were my favorite niece," Peter stated sarcastically.
"Do you have any idea why Kate would turn Derek into a teenager again?" Scott asked.
Peter shook his head slightly, deep in thought, before turning around halfway to ask, "What color were his eyes?"
"Blue."
"After Paige," Octavia realized, understanding what her uncle was thinking all of a sudden. "Which could mean around the time he first met Kate."
"Derek and Kate knew each other?" Scott asked bewilderedly.
Octavia chuckled without humor as Peter replied, "Biblically." At Scott and Malia's confused expressions, he continued. "That's right, Scott. You weren't the first wolf to climb into a hunter's bed."

"Okay, Derek went to the house thinking it was still there, right?" Peter confirmed.
"Yeah," Scott answered. "He doesn't remember the fire."
"Which means he didn't remember that Kate set it," Octavia realized, looking at Peter, who looked awfully proud to see his niece finally figuring things out on her own.
"So what does that mean?"
"Kate didn't just turn him back into a teenager," Peter said.
"She took him back to an age where he still knew her," Octavia continued her uncle's sentence. "To an age where he still trusted her."
Their conversation was interrupted by a call from Stiles, who frantically said something about Kate taking teenage Derek somewhere.
After Scott ended the call, which the other three supernatural beings could hear perfectly clearly, Peter, Octavia and Malia raced towards the door."Hey, wait!" Scott called after them.
"Wait for what, Scott?" Octavia asked, annoyed that Scott was holding her back from saving her brother. "Kate is out there, twisting her way into my brother's head, and I need to find her!"
"All we need to do is catch her scent," Malia stated, a lot more calmly than the short brunette at her side.
"But that could take hours," Scott explained. "If we want to get ahead of her, we need to figure out where she's going."
"Not to underestimate my own cognitive faculties, but we're not exactly brain-entrusted geniuses here, are we?"
Scott pulled her phone out of his pocket. "Then maybe we should call one."

Scott showed the trio of Hales the pictures Lydia had sent him, and Octavia tried not to grimace at the mangled and bloodied body.
"Why would she want to kill a gas station attendant?" Malia asked, not being able to put the pieces of information together.
"I don't think she could help it, this was done in a frenzy, it's not a murder," Peter informed them. "It's a symptom."
"Of what?" Scott asked, not understanding the point.
"She couldn't control the shift."
"Derek - well, teenage Derek - said he had the same problem on the full moon," Octavia stated. "That he's still learning."
