After Tsunade finished beating up Naruto and Sasuke, Chouji decided to hand her the letter, that Ino left them. Taking the paper from the boy, Tsunade read the letter out loud:'Dear everyone, sorry for taking Sakura with me, but I remembered that I had something, perfect, that she could wear. Please don't be mad, I promise that she's fine.
Sincerely, Ino.'
As soon as she finished reading the letter, the busty Hokage healed the boys and then, the group went to the flower shop. When they arrived, Ino's mother was arranging flowers, in the front window.
"Excuse me." Tsunade said, earning the woman's attention, "Do you know where your daughter is?"
"Oh, of course Lady Tsunade," she said, bowing and then turned to the door, behind the counter and left the room. While waiting for Ino, Sasuke was busy arguing with his Inner.
'Will you go away?!' he asked, mentally glaring at his annoying Inner and debating whether he was going insane or not.
'No! How can I, when Ino is in her room, with OUR Sakura, doing Kami knows what?!' Inner screamed, making Sasuke want to bash his head in, but he didn't need Naruto laughing and calling him mental at the moment; so he just chose to ignore his Inner. That really didn't help, cause his Inner started to bug him and yell insults and curse words in his head. Sasuke was about to scream in frustration, but then Ino came out, from behind the counter while looking nervous.
"Hey guys, what's up?" she asked, laughing a little.
"DON'T 'WHAT'S UP GUYS' US!' WHERE'S SAKURA?!" Naruto screamed, earning two bonks on the head, from Tsunade and Sasuke.
"Ino, where's Sakura?" Sasuke, more civilized than his teammate, who was muttering words, that a child should never hear.
"Hehe, you're gonna love her outfit." Ino said, and then shouted, towards the door, "SAKURA!" Everyone turned their attention to the sound of small feet, approaching them. When Sakura came out, four jaws it the floor and one went wide-eyed. Sakura was wearing a light blue dress that ended just above her knees, with a dark lining around the waist, and sandals on. Her light pink hair, which reached past her shoulders, laid untouched; except for the red ribbon that was tied in her hair.
"Kyahh, you're just so Kawaii!" Ino squealed, hugging Sakura to death, who had a slight frown on her face. Naruto and Chouji were trying to hold in their laughter, Shikamaru and Tsunade facepalmed and Sasuke's eyebrow was twitching at how innocent she looked.
'Wow, I wonder if our daughter would look like this, if Sakura married us.' Inner Sasuke said, making Outer Sasuke mentally stuff him into a box. Suddenly, Sakura broke out of Ino's hold and ran towards Sasuke, hugging him.
"Nii-chan~" she said, looking up at him and pouting, "Pig-chan wants me wear this, but I don't like it. It's too girly." Naruto and Chouji lost it, and started laughing, as Ino looked at the child with a shocked expression. Tsunade and Shikamaru were chuckling under their breath, while Sasuke was smirking. Sakura turned around and saw the shock and hurt look on Ino's face and felt bad.
"Gomen, Pig-chan." the little girl said, playing with the bottom of her dress, "It's pretty, but I feel like a Barbie. I do like the ribbon though. I'll give it back." Ino tried to look mad, but Sakura's puppy-dog eyes were too much and she soon gave in within a few seconds.
"Awww, I can't stay mad." Ino answered, causing Sakura to smile and giggle, "And don't worry about the ribbon, you can keep it. A special gift for a pretty little girl." While said girl was smiling wider, it occurred to their friends that the ribbon in Sakura's hair, was in fact the ribbon that Ino gave to her, when they were kids. It was the symbol of their friendship and was also the beginning of their rivalry.
"So Ino, why 'Pig-can'?" Naruto asked, quickly changing the mood of the room and Ino glared at the blonde.
"I heard everyone calling her Ino. And Ino means Pig, right?" Sakura asked, tilting her head to the side, innocently, which made everyone smiled in amusement.
"Kawaii~" Shikamaru blurted out, shocking everyone and he looked away, while blushing, "I-I mean she's right." Sakura giggled.
"So what are we going to do now?" Sasuke asked, as Sakura walked behind him to examine the flowers.
"Well I'm not sure," Tsunade said, "I can't let Naruto take care of her, because he will lose her...again."
"Hey! The second time wasn't even my fault!"
"Ino will just turn my student into Barbie's baby sister."
"Damn."
"Shikamaru will just fall asleep, watching her."
"It's too troublesome."
"Chouji will probably forget to feed her, no offense."
"None taken."
"And-"Tsunade was cut off by a yelp and everyone turned their attention to Sakura, who was holding her hand, her face scrunched up in slight pain and tears were brimming at the corner of her eyes.
"Sakura, what's wrong?" Sasuke asked, kneeling down in front of her.
"I saw a rose and when I picked it up, one of the thorns stuck me." she explained, holding up her right hand, which had said thorn in the palm, while pointing to the rose with her left. Sasuke took her hand and gently pulled the tiny thorn out of her palm. Everyone was shocked to see that Sasuke was showing so much kindness around them, but even more shocked, when the stotic boy put the little girl's hand up to his mouth and kissed it. Sakura blushed and giggled, causing the boy to grin.
"Hmm, interesting." Tsunade said, making Sasuke look at her, "Perhaps you can take care of Sakura, until I can find the guy or come up with a way to fix this." Sasuke was about to protest, but Sakura started jumping up and down, happily.
"Hooray! I get to stay with Nii-chan!" she cheered and hugged Sasuke, who chuckled and picked her up.
"Why does she keep calling you Nii-chan?" Naruto asked, scratching his head. Sasuke just shrugged and turned to Tsunade.
"How long will this take?" He asked.
"I have no idea, it could take a while." The Hokage answered, giggling at the sight, then looked serious, "Until then, you are to make sure that nothing happens to her, ok?" With a nod and a wave to everyone, Sasuke put Sakura down and walked out the store, while holding Sakura's hand.
"You think that he'll do alright?" Shikamaru asked, as Naruto ran off to get ramen, followed by Chouji.
"I don't know, but I wonder if he noticed the Uchiha symbol, I put on the back of the dress." Ino said, making the lazy ninja facepalm, then a thought occurred to him.
"Was it ok?" He asked, "To give Sakura the ribbon, I mean. I know it means a lot to you."
"Yeah, I gave it to her, to keep in the first place." Ino said, leaning against the counter and Shikamaru nodded in understanding.
"INO!" Sasuke's voice came from outside, causing Ino to cringe, in fear, while Tsunade and Shikamaru smirked.
"Oh he noticed." Tsunade said, laughing as the Yamanaka girl tried hiding behind the counter, "Well I better get to work on fixing this mess, bye." Shikamaru waved to the Hokage, as she left the flower shop and he left, shortly after so he could go watch some clouds.
