Recovery

It's been 2 weeks since the war with Gea and the Giants, everything was going remotely well here at Camp Half Blood. All the kids from the Apollo cabin are working their tails off to help the fallen ones recover from the battle, lets just say there were a lot of broken ankles and shins due to Gea trying to suck them into the earth.

Annabeth and I didn't have much time together because we're all so busy getting things back on track, it's a lot harder without the Romans here to help out but they had their own problems to attend to.For the most part i'm glad we ended the feud between the Greeks and Romans, now we can go back and forth freely between the two camps.

"Percy!" I heard a familiar voice call out my name, I turned from a cabin covered in vines and dirt,the Demeter cabin happened to be very unlucky with all the earthy stuff. "Percy," the voice was closer and Annabeth came to view "hey." She said and planted a kiss on my cheek.

"Hi, what brings you over here Mrs.Architect?" I smiled as I wiped my dirt covered hands on my orange shirt.Annabeth was helping redesign Camp and make it better, us being the senior counselors it was our duty.

"I have an Iris message waiting for me in the fountain near the big house, I wanted you to come so we could tell my dad about the plans we made!"her storm gray eyes sparkled with excitement,my smile grew wider.

"Oh yeah! Let's go-"I was interrupted by her hand on my chest when I tried to walk past her to take the lead "what?" I asked turning to her.

"Your face."

"What about it?" I consciously rubbed the side of my lip, did I have some drool on my face from when I woke up or a milk mustache from breakfast?

Annabeth laughed "you just smeared even more dirt of your face!" She rubbed her thumb on my cheek then smiled "Better,Now let's go tell my dad the news."

I nodded and took her hand in mine as we walked through camp to get to the big house. I would shout words of encouragement here and there ever so often as we passed everyone working hard to get camp back into place,words like "Anything is possible, if you just believe!" And "you can do it! Great job guys, keep it up!" But my favorite was when I saw one of the Stoll brothers struggling to push a tree branch out of the doorway to their cabin, I shouted "Push harder!" Only to get "that's what she said!" In response. I must have looked like a retarded walrus clapping my hands together laughing because Annabeth smacked my arm.

"Good evening Percy,  Annabeth." Chiron nodded as we walked past him to the water fountain. We both gave him a smile and stood before the fountain,I made a quick prayer to Poseidon that I wont mess up on my words and make a fool out of myself in front of her dad.

Annabeth threw a drachma into the fountain causing the ripples to catch the sunlight to creat a rainbow.Not a moment later there was a figure of a blonde man with glasses in the mist of the rainbow before us "Dad!" She waved while wearing a smile, her dad squinted his eyes and moved up closer to the 'screen' confused "Dad, can you hear me? Daaaaaaddddd."

The mans eyebrows shot up in surprise once he focused his sight on us and a smile grew on his face "Annabeth! Hey, how are you doing sweetheart?" He asked putting all his attention on her.

"I'm fine dad, how's everyone doing?" Annabeth pulled me closer to her side so I wouldn't feel left out or so her dad could notice me, either one or the other, it was greatly appreciated.

"That's good honey, we're doing great over here! Your brothers- wait. Who's that?"

"Dad, you remember Percy,don't you?" She smiled as I waved at her dad.

"Hi Mr.Chase!"

He looked confused at first but once he got his eyes focused on me through the mist a grin popped on his face "ah yes! Percy, hello!" You have no idea how much happiness washed over me, having the recognition of my girlfriend's father was a very good start to a happy ending.
