Lucy and I walked into the main building and everyone else was there along with a blond girl. She must have been the new girl that they had to go get. "Lucy, Jackson we never thought you were going to show up," Dylan told us getting up.

"This is Jenny Juliet. Jenny, meet Jackson Whittemore and Lucy Kane," Charlie introduced.

Jenny stared at us. She walked up and shook Lucy's hand. "Temps viendra et la mort doit se tenir à vos côtés."

Lucy pulled away. "Um excuse me? What did you just say?"

"Lu, you know what she said. You're the only one who understands French here except for Charlie, but the only thing he knows is that old walk out there," Dylan said to her.

Jenny ignored her her and shook my hand. "Whittemore," she said like it was strange. "Jackson Whittemore. My, my. You sir do not have luck at all."

"What are you?" I asked her.

"We don't know," Camren said. "She doesn't talk much. Well, actually, the first thing she says to you doesn't make any sense but after that she's fine. Tell them what you told us Jenny."

Jenny nodded and looked at each one. She turned towards Dylan first. "Blood will be drawn under your fingers." Next was Charlie. "Beware the moon and the crossroads." She looked at Camren. "Read the book and you'll know." Finally, she looked at Wil. "I'm sorry."

Silence overwhelmed us. Lucy walked towards the door. "Why don't we go get lunch now? Are you coming?" Jenny, Dylan, Charlie, Camren, and Wil headed to the door. "Hotshot, you coming?"

I knew it was only my second day in London and I should explore but, "Uh I think I might stay here," they looked at me weird, "I'm not feeling great. Go on. We can all go out another day and maybe you can show me around. Sorry." They nodded and Jenny, Charlie, and Dylan walked on. Camren, Wil, and Lucy looked at me wondering what was going on. They realized I wasn't coming and continued out.

After what seemed like ever, I finally found the library. "Whoa, someone's excited for school," I turned around and saw Mr. Lewis there.

"Oh, actually no I'm not," I told him. "I'm just looking around to, uh, familiarize myself. I'm Jackson Whittemore by the way."

He chuckled. "I know who you are Jackson. I'm Wes Lewis. Please call me Wes. I help Leah run this place," he glanced at his watch and then back at me. "Listen Jackson I need to go right now but I'll see you soon."

I nodded and he walked away. I entered the library and walked around. I wasn't finding what I was looking for. I realized then that Leah was once an Argent. She would have hidden what I was looking for because most people here are normal. I walked towards the back of the library and found a door. I tried to open it but it was lock.

"Why are you trying to get in the chair closet?" I jumped hearing a voice. I looked at a guy with a broken nose and black eye. He started laughing. "Wow that scared the shit out of you? That's wimpy. You're that new kid."

"Jackson Whittemore."

He nodded. "Landen West. I've seen you around the twins, twat, weirdo, and bitch. If I were you, I wouldn't be friends them. They're trouble unlike most people here. I'm around Jack so find if you want some fun. Later."

He walked away and I sighed. I looked through the shelves again but there was nothing there. I thought back to Landen. He didn't seem like an asshole but I never know. Maybe it's just a front. All I knew is that I'm going to stick with the friends I have. "Jackson, are you okay?" I turned around and saw Leah standing there. "It's 5 in the afternoon and Wil told me he hadn't seen you since noon and was worried. How long have you been in here?"

"Around 5 hours. I can't find what I'm looking for," she asked what I was looking for. "A bestiary type thing. Just something full and packed with supernatural creatures all types and mythology."

She looked at me strangely. "I have one. I can make you your own translated copy of you want. It'll probably be a bit but I can I get it done within a couple hours."

I smiled. "Perfect. I'll just be in here." She nodded and left. I grabbed a book off the shelves and started reading. It was by far the most confusing book I had ever read. What felt like, and I knew was, hours later, Leah came back with a printed copy of her bestiary.

"One printed and English transplanted bestiary for whatever you need," she hands it to me and looks at the book I was reading. "How's the book?"

"Confusing. I just finished it. There's not another book so I don't know. It was the most interesting thing I've ever read."

She laughed. "I know what you're saying. It's just sci-fi Jackson. The boys would like you back to your room. They have some food for you because it is 8 at night."

I nodded putting back The Dread Doctors by T.R. McCammon and went back to my room. I'd never pick that book up again.
