My schedule was fully booked today—which included tons of meetings, photoshoots, and assisting my mother at work. I yawned for what felt like the millionth time in my current meeting as I was called early this morning to discuss the plans for Sam's music video shoot. All the boys were here, Johnson and Gilinsky asking if I could feature in their music video. Sam looked tense as Gilinsky asked Alison, but I gave him a reassuring squeeze on his arm.
"You ok?" I asked, a little amused at his sudden jealousy towards one of his best friends.
"Yeah," He composed himself with a clear of his throat.
I place my hand on his, giving him a small smile. He mirrored my actions, grabbing my hand and squeezing it.
My phone began to vibrate on the table as 'Char 😈' appeared on the screen. I held up a finger to sort of excuse myself, as I slid unlock to answer.
"What's up, babe?" I held the phone between my ear and shoulder as I looked over the contract in front of me. Once I saw it was a good deal, I signed.
"Hey, Ro! What time are you coming over?" The background noise told me she was home, probably cooking with her mother. That was something Charlie and I have in common—we both were Mommy's little girls. Our mothers were best friends long before we two were even born; we were practically family.
"Um, a little after six o'clock?" I checked the wall clock, reading 3:14 PM.
"Are you going to bring Samuel?" She teased, and I could just picture the growing smirk on her face.
I rolled my eyes with a laugh, "We'll see."
"Alright, girl. See you soon!"
"Bye, babe." I giggled, hanging up.
Alison and the boys' manager continued to discuss the plans for the video, flight details, and my schedule. I had a lot of upcoming events this week and half of next, so I needed to fly to Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
"Alright Rosalie, we will set up your flight tonight and I'll text you all the information. You and I need to meet around 4 PM on Wednesday to catch your plane." Alison explained to me, and I nodded.
"Great! But can you make room in my schedule for stopping by the retail store? I need to make sure everything is okay," Alison nodded, taking notes on her tablet.
"Are we finished?" I smiled. They nodded, and the guys & I filed out of the meeting room of my building.
"I'm exhausted," I slightly frowned. They laughed at me, as we headed upstairs.
"Go take a nap," Nate laughed.
Speaking of Nate—he woke up with a killer hangover, along with a long-ass lecture from the guys. Apparently, he was a heavy drinker a couple of years back, but stopped once he got into music. I was impressed that his substitution for alcohol was music, seeing as he has gotten very successful now.
"I wish," I sighed. "I have dinner tonight with my mother and Charlie's family, so I need to make some dessert."
"You guys have that often?" Gilinsky leaned against the walls of the elevator.
"Guess you could say that," I recall. "It's like twice a month. And we all rotate on who gets to cook what and who gets to make dessert. So tonight, that's me."
"Ooh, whatcha gonna make?" Johnson innocently smiled.
"Just your simple cookies," I laughed. "Charlie's siblings love them, so I promised I would."
