Chapter 2: Life as It Is

20 years, that's how long the virus has been active. There are quarantined zones/strongholds where you can stay but you have to work in order to earn you rations. Most of the jobs are dangerous and require you to go outside the zones like wall repairs or guarding the wall and not letting any infected in or outsiders who haven't been in other zones. There are also rumors of communities that have developed over time and have survivors and a stable food supply. There have also been developing rebels that defy all quarantine zone's officers and they call them self's HYDRA. Yea I know 'isn't that name unoriginal but also not related and they're not created by captain America's archenemy red skull' well yes but it's brilliant because in Greek mythology the HYDRA was a creature who if you cut one head two more grows back (hail Hydra) so what they mean is if a member is killed two more will take his place (Hail Hydra). Inside the quarantine zones are also rebels who are not related to Hydra and just want to cause mayhem. But this isn't where our Story begins it begins on the night the bomb dropped the night we lost everything.
