~You Can't Just Throw Me Away

I got home to see my mom sitting at the kitchen table, arms folded in front of her.

"Sit down, Vic," she ordered. I quickly pulled out a chair and sat down. She sighed and rubbed her hands over her face. "I won't kick you out if we can make a deal," she stated. I looked at her in suprise and nodded for her to continue. "You stay out of the house for most of the day, you can come home by dusk at the earliest, and you can live here. You sleep in your room, get up and ready in your room and bathroom and leave for the day. Capiche?"

I nodded quickly. "Yes, thank you. Starting now?" She nodded and I threw my backpack in my room before heading outside. What am I gonna do for the next couple hours? I texted Kellin and we just hung out together for a few hours.

*** NEXT DAY ***

Kellin and I walked into school and greeted Jaime and Tony. All was fogiven now between with Jaime and I.

The school day once again went by quick and boring and before I knew it, the four of us were walking to lunch. "Hey f*g," Blake said, approaching with Travis and a few others. "Oh, wait, that's your brother." I went to punch him but Jaime and Tony held me back. "You're a whimp, just like your brother. I wouldn't be suprised if you were just as gay as him."

The next thing I knew, Kellin had walked up and punched him straight in the face, knocking him back a few steps, holding his nose. Travis was immediatly by his side to try to stop the bleeding in his nose.

Kellin laughed humorlessly. "Vic looks gay? Have you two looked in the mirror? You act like a couple." We all stared at him in schock. Did he really just say that?

"Oh, you're dead now," Travis said, approaching Kellin and the rest of us.

Kellin looked scared, but continued. He stepped in front of us and look straight at Travis simply stating, "No."

"No? No what?" he growled.

"They didn't do anything, I did. Leave them."

Travis thought about it for a moment. "Fine." He grabbed Kel and dragged him down the hall.

I looked to Tony in worry and noticed Jaime was gone. After a moment of consideration, I booked it down the hall after them, hearing Tony's footsteps follow. I ran up yelling, "no! Leave him alone."

"Go, Vic!" Kellin yelled at me. The group stopped and turned around. Kellin glared at Tony and I making Tony stop in his tracks a few meters back.

Kellin's P.O.V.

"Shut up, Bostwick," Travis growled at me. "As for you Fuentes," he stated. He nodded his head toward Vic and two of his friends grabbed him and Tony, shoving them in lockers.

Travis dropped me to the ground and Blake, having stopped the blood, came up and shoved me against the locker. "Think you can mess with me, huh? Just go around doing whatever you want with no consequences? Big. Mistake."

He punched me in the face before shoving me into the ground, making me hit my head on the locker in the process. Then, with one last blow to the stomach and stepping on my ankle, he picked me up and shoved me into a locker.

"Have fun with Fuentes," he said and shoved me into the locker, I'm assuming Vic was in.

Vic caught me as I nearly collapsed from the pain.

Vic's P.O.V.

They shoved Kellin into the locker and I caught him as his knees gave in.

"Kellin! Kellin, are you okay?" I rushed out.

"I-I don't know," he choked out and started coughing.

Once I heard Travis and Blake leave I tried to think of a way to get out.

"Pound on the locker!" I heard someone yell so I knocked on the metal door. All of a sudden, it swung open and Kellin and I came tumbling out, but I caught Kellin and myself before we fell to the floor. "Tony Perry!" Jaime yelled and a few lockers down came a pounding. Jaime went over and swiftly picked the lock and Tony, too, came tumbling out.

Tony glared at him. "I thought you'd suddenly become an ass and left us."

"Nope," Jaime replied, popping the "p". "Some of us do think ahead," he stated.

Kellin had another coughing fit and all of our heads turned to the boy I was still supporting.

"Do you need to go to the nurse?" Tony questioned. Kellin shook his head "no" but only resulted in coughing harder.

"You're going to the nurse," I told him. "Can you walk?" He looked at me, his eyes begging not to be taken to the nurse, and reluctantly took a step forward, only ending up in him falling and me, once again, catching him. "I'll take that as a no," I mumbled and picked him up bridal style.

A light blush painted Kellin's cheeks and I looked into his beautiful, blue eyes. They were like the sky over the sea after a storm. No Vic. Don't think about Kellin.

I snapped myself out of it and the four of us made our way to the nurse's office.
