Hello, all! Bee, here. It's been quite a while since I updated this fic, and most of my reasons are typical ones. All in all, life got in the way. I started this story at the age of 14 as a freshmen in high school. I'm now nearly 20 and a junior in college! This was my first attempt at a full length novel and it just didn't pan out.
One of the main reasons I stopped writing this story further was because at the time I created it I had yet to grasp the true importance of understanding and recognizing domestic violence and abuse. Reading this back now makes me cringe so, so much. It is very much a romanticism of the idea that any person - man, woman, non binary and the like - can change someone who is abusive. I'm disappointed that even at the age of 14 I had yet to understand this idea.
For that reason, and really that reason alone, I've decided I will officially not continue writing this fic. Thank you to everyone who read, commented, faved, and added it to their libraries. It means the world to me that you enjoyed my writing and my story and I couldn't be more awed and thankful for the support. However, I hope as readers you can understand where I'm coming from when I say the message I started to convey here is archaic and inherently patriarchal. I have decided, however, to keep the story up, for nostalgic purposes only. It will be marked complete because no further chapters will be written.
In the future, I hope you'll look out for more of my stories, whether they're fics or not. Thank you again for being so supportive.
