Six Months // h.s

Three.

At age thirteen Harry found out his mother was extremely sick. Harry had set up a little picnic down beneath the trees for himself and Skyler. As they were both getting into the years of dating, they both realised their feelings for each other were quite strong. They were also both quite mature, in many aspects.

"Harry, these strawberries taste so good," She commented taking another bite of the berry.

"Thank you," he cheekily grinned and took a bite of his own.

Skyler lied down on the picnic blanket and mustered but all her courage to take Harrys hand in her own, he smiled down and laid next to her.

"Thank you for today, Harry."

"It's okay, it was my pleasure," he moved a piece of hair that had fallen on her face behind her ear. He moved his head forward and so did Skyler until their lips touched. They moved subtly and sweetly against each other, it was both of their first real kiss. They moved away from each other both with blushed cheeks. They stared at each other for a minute before a ringing sound went off from Harry's pocket. He quickly took it out of his pocket.

"Hey dad," Harry spoke.

"Your mother has just been taken away by the ambulance, come home quick!"

"What do you mean? Is she okay?"

"I'll explain everything when you get home."

"Okay, bye dad," Harry hangs up his mobile.

"What's wrong?" Skyler asked.

"Mum, shes been taken to hospital. We have to go."

Skyler just nodded her head and stood up, alongside Harry. They didn't bother packing up their stuff, they just ran. They finally made it home, puffing and panting they walked inside Harrys house to see his father, Desmond.

"Sit down guys," he gestured to the couch in front of him, and they did.

"Dad, what happened to mum?" Harry worried, his voice cracked. Skyler could tell he was trying is hardest not to cry. She moved her hand to his to try and comfort him, knowing that he needs someone to be here for him, and she was going to be that person.

"You see, son... Your mum has been sick for a while, she has never been this bad before. She has heart problems, shes dying, son. I'm so sorry."

Harry looked at Skyler with tears in his eyes.
