I wake up on the white, plush sofa in the living room. The lights are dimmed down low and my head is on the lap of my grammy who is stroking my hair gently."Gr-grammy?" I ask because my vision is a little blurry.
From what I can make out Grammy is wiping a tear and looking down at me, "Hi, honey."
"Hi..." It takes me a minute to process my thoughts then I remember what Aunt Alice said, "She's been murdered." My mom... She's dead.
I burst into tears and my Grammy leans down and hugs me, "Shh...Shh..."
"She's dead, she's dead, whyyy, whyyy?" I continue to cry when Aunt Alice walks in.
"Mom." Aunt Alice says and Grammy looks up, "The detectives want all of us in for questioning."
"Anything to find the killer of my daughter..." Grammy responds back and strokes my brunette hair again.
Aunt Alice sits down on a chair beside the sofa we're on and crosses her legs.
"Yeah, Daniel is against it though. He's set that the cops are bad people."
When the name Daniel is mentioned I begin to remember the time where he threatened me. I didn't say anything to anyone so why would he have to murder anyone?
I sit up on the sofa and stand up, "I don't wanna hear anymore of this." I then leave the room and bury myself under blankets on my bed.
How could this happen? I don't know who would wanna hurt my mom... She has no enemy's... Does she?
I hear my door open.
"Grace?" I hear Jason's voice say as I hear him walk closer to my bed.
"Come on Grace, please answer me." Jason says in a nervous tone, "I just want to make sure that you're okay..."
I move all the blankets off of me and look up at Jason.
"Who would do this?" I ask, hoping he would know. But, I don't think he would.
"I don't know, Grace." Jason sits beside me on my bed and wraps his arm around me and I lean in for a hug.
Jason rubs my back and kisses my head, "Grace, we need to go for questioning tomorrow morning..."
I shake my head, "I don't want to..." Its to soon...
"I know it's happening so quickly and all, but we have to. Your mom would like us to figure out who did this..." Jason looks me in the eyes and kisses my nose.
I nod and hold his hands in mine, "She would..."

The next day my family and I got into my Aunts Alice's car she rented for while she was down here and she drove us down to the Police Station for questioning.
Waiting for my turn to be interrogated scared me. I mean I know I'm not the one who killed my mother but what if they think that? They can't think that... I was at a party.
Thinking about all of this makes me nauseous. I still can't get over the fact that my mother was murdered.
After Jason was interrogated he sat down next to me, "Its your turn." Jason says and leans back on the chair and sighs.
I get up and nervously walk inside into the interrogation room.
Inside there is one man, he looks like he's in his young 30's. Short black hair, chiseled jaw and he has an aftershave.
"Hello, Miss, I'm Detective Clark." He shakes my hand, "Why don't you take a seat."
I nod and sit down across from him. There is an awkward silence for a few moments while Clark just stares at me. What kind of name is Clark anyway. Its just like, "Hello, my name is 'Clark'." I think of a weird voice to go with what I thought and I begin to giggle.
"Is something wrong, Miss Green?" Clark asks cluelessly.
I shake my head, "No, no, no, nothings wrong." I shake my head and fake a smile.
"So, lets get started." Clark says and pulls out a sheet of paper from a folder, "Where were you the night of New Years Eve?"
"I was at my friends New Years Eve party..." I say as I tap my foot, "You can ask anyone."
Detective Clark nods, "Alright, do you think anyone would want to hurt your mother?"
I think about this for a moment, Should I tell him about what happened with Daniel and I? I don't think Daniel will be able to hurt me if I say what happened... I hope he won't.
I begin to fidget and Clark raises an eyebrow, "Grace... Tell me now, or I'm going to have to arrest you."
Arrest me? Can he even do that?!
I nod, "Okay, but you have to promise me you won't tell anyone I said this!" I say it like I'm a crazy person, but I mean it, I can't have anyone, especially Daniel know I said this.
Clark nods, "I won't say a word to anyone, but this is information I need to know so tell me right now." Clark says sternly and stares me down.
"Fine." I mumble and begin to tell him even though it scares me half to death just thinking about what happened.
As I tell Clark he writes down every word I say. Every. Word.
"Wow, okay, did you tell your mom about it?" Clark asks.
I shake my head quickly and I begin to rock back and forth from nervousness.
"Its okay, calm down, I won't say a word to anyone."
"Do you know of any cheating going on in the family?" Clark asks then looks up from the paper.
I nod. I might as well just say everything I know now. He promised that he wouldn't say anything.
I begin to say everything that has happened about Daniel and Clark writes it all down.
By the time we were done with the interrogation it felt good to let everything off my chest. I know it isn't therapy but in some way it just felt like a relief.
I sat back down back in my seat in the waiting room. The next person to be interrogated is Daniel and that begins to scare me, but I remind myself that we're in a police station, he can't hurt me.
Daniel bursts out of the interrogation room and bolts after me. I feel paralyzed during that as he clings onto my neck, "You said you wouldn't tell anyone!"
Daniel continue clinging to my neck, preventing me to not be able to breathe."I..I.." I start to see tiny blotches and I feel I am about to pass out, but, thankfully, the police pulled him off of me.
As the police pull him into the back, where I'm assuming their jail cell is, I hear him scream, "I'll get you! You'll be sorry!"I sit there feeling paralysed as Clark leans down to me, "I swear I didn't say you told me."
My Aunt Alice yells at him to go away and she takes me into her car and we all drive home.
So what do you guys think is gonna happen next? Also, comment below which song would be good for this chapter, that would be a lot of help! Thanks!
