Song For Chapter 8- Style By Taylor Swift
After what had happened that Friday night I couldn't stop replaying when Jason kissed me in my mind. I've never experienced this type of kiss with anyone before, it actually felt magical, like a firework exploded in my heart.
Since Jason ran away we had to stay at our little town right out of New York City a little longer. Terry and Daniel have been putting up missing signs all over town, yet no sign of him. Why did he run away? How bad could his life actually be?
As I was thinking all these questions to myself while walking home from school on Monday I got a call. I took my phone out of my back pocket and answered the number that said, "Unknown number", I gulped and answered.
"H-hello?"
"Grace is that you?" My eyes widened, my heart skipped a beat, that voice, it sounded so familiar, it was Jason! I stopped right on the sidewalk and yelled.
"Jason!"
I hear Jason chuckle, I can imagine that little smirk on his face, "Yes it's me... The one and only Jason Mallard."
I warm smile appears on my face and I continue walking the path to my house, "Are you alright Jason? Where have you been hiding anyway?"
"Well... I decided to drive my motorcycle out into the city and for a few days I stayed with one of my older friends in his apartment, but he then kicked me out... So I ended up on the streets. I was hungry and I didn't have any money on me... So I decided to steal from a little shoppers market down town. And well... One thing lead to another... Let's just say... I'm in jail and I need you to bail me out."
My eyes widened, "What!?!"
"You heard me..."
"Well how much is the bail?!"
"It's about...around...somewhere...err...like $950..."
"What?!? I don't think I have that kind of money!"
"But I do..."
"How?!?"
"That doesn't matter! Just go under my bed and in this Jordan's shoe box there will be $1000 get $950 of it and drive down town to the police station."
"B-but?"
"Thank you Grace!" And Jason hung up.
I ran into my house, up to my room, looked under Jason's bed and found the Jordan's shoe box, I opened the shoe box and got $950 of the money and ran down stairs, into the garage, hopped in my car and drove into the city.

As I was driving to the police station I couldn't stop thinking why he ran away. I mean his life can't be that bad right? He has a pretty much rich dad, Jason's so popular at school, he has a bunch of friends. I just don't understand why he got so upset.
Maybe I can ask him when I bail him out.
When I get out of my car I started walking to the front door, when I opened the door I walked to the police officer working the front desk and asked "Can I bail Jason Mallard out?"
"Do you have $950?" The police officer asked.
"Yes I do." I handed the police officer the money and she started walking down to the jail cell and gestured me to follow.
Once I got to the cell room I saw Jason trying to convince one of the police officers at a desk on the corner, it made me giggle from how stupid it sounded.
I stood there for a few moments and Jason finally noticed me and he smiled and I awkwardly smiled back. The police officer unlocked his cell door and said to Jason that he was free to go.
