The new Narnia lived graciously, a heaven for those who deserved it. The grass, hills, and water embraced a whole new characteristic, one they didn't have back in the old Narnia. This new world showed Narnia fuller, every beautiful detail even more beautiful.
The inhabitants of the new Narnia were all pure of heart, eager to start their lives anew. The first order of business was a new King and Queen. Almost completely unanimously, Tirian was reappointed as King of Narnia.
Narnia seemed just as it did before, only better. No evil sorceress, tyrants, or waging war. It was a time of peace and gratitude for all the Narnians. Polly and Diggory witnessed their first Narnian Christmas in the first year. There was cake, presents, music, and dances, and ended with a giant festival held on Christmas Eve. Every Narnian seemed to have traveled from afar just to be apart of the festivities. Some included Mr and Mrs Beaver, the Court of the Owls, friendly giants, and even people of the telmarines who had now full faith in Aslan. There was a mighty feast that day, which ended with a surprise speech given by Aslan himself.
"Good people of Narnia, enjoy this day and every one after it. This inner world has indeed showed your inner souls, and I thank you. For all your courteous conduct and immense gratitude, I bless you all for eternity."
"Cheers!" Was the mighty roar of thank you.
For a few years Tirian ruled without a queen, but that would soon change after his twenty-eighth birthday. Up on that great magical hill, within the golden gates, their was that familiar apple orchard. King Tirian loved to visit this spot, fore it was his first memorable moment in his new life. On one of his visits, Lucy secretly followed. Lucy had been watching him from behind a tree until accidentally she stepped on a branch.
"Oh- Lucy you gave me a fright. Why art thou hiding behind a tree, Daughter of Eve?"
"Um, I did not want to disturb your private time. I know you love coming here alone."
"Your presence is welcomed, my fair queen." Tirian approached Lucy and bowed forward and laid a gentle kiss upon Lucy's right hand.
"I'm no queen anymore, you're Narnia's only ruler, besides Aslan of course."
"Once a king or queen in Narnia, always a king or queen in Narnia- or at least a queen in my heart."
From there on out anyone could have predicted the romantic relationship that followed between the two. In one month's time (Narnia time of course) the two were married and Lucy was once again crowned queen. The wedding and coronation was quite a sight, even the dwarves found it worthy of washing for. Cair Paravel was the happiest it had been yet since the new Narnia's establishment. Aslan himself was present to re-crown queen Lucy, the valiant. During the grand celebration after the ceremony, Lucy took a walk along the beach by herself. Just as she did to Tirian a month back, Aslan secretly followed.
"Aslan, I didn't notice you."
"Yes Daughter of Eve, one can become oblivious to the world around them when worried."
"You can tell, of course."
Lucy kept on walking down the shore, hoping Aslan would go away. Lucy wanted to be alone. That evening was beautiful. The sunset was an unbelievable purple and pink, making the sun radiant as ever seen. The water had smooth waves, the thunderous crashes into the shore music in their own way. The mermaids waved at their new queen, Lucy waving back a bit sullenly. As Lucy turned around to walk back to the castle, she found Aslan still standing behind her.
"I don't mean to be rude Aslan, but I wish to be left alone."
Aslan roared at her. His roar sent a giant rush of guilt and fear through Lucy's body.
