Chapter2: Black Lotus

Kanda's POV

She turned and started walking, and we followed her to the town. She didn't say anything the whole time. She was so quiet and it was perfectly fine for me. Although she was so strange, no smile on her lips, no words, no feelings...

Even her appearance was way different from us. She wasn't wearing the Order's uniform and her hair was two colored! The most of it was pitch black but just a small part of it was poor white.Tch... just like you've cut a part of that bean sprout's hair and put it there!

We heard people's screams and saw an unusual light from inside of the town. we ran through there and saw the awful scene. The town was almost destroyed, Fire was burning the houses and roots were messing up the ground.

A woman ran toward us, crying "please, help us. my children have stuck inside the house please help them." Another man ran toward us "My ill mom is in the house please help!" he shouted also.

Lavi took out his hammer "Don't worry we will save them now" but the girl stopped him. "You two go and get the innocence, I'll get the children and the gramps" she said. "Are you sure you can make it?" I wasn't sure. She didn't have a weapon around. "Don't you underestimate me, pretty-boy!" she smirked and started running to the burning houses. She pissed me off totally!

We followed the roots to the center of the town and finally found the place. C'mon! Just who the hell would make a lagoon in the middle of a town?

Now everywhere was full of leaves and branches, roots and thorns. I cut the ones that were on my way and Lavi came behind me. Finally, after a couple of minutes I saw something different in my way. All the branches and roots seemed to gather together and make a huge trunk up to the sky. As I stopped an stupid hit me from behind! "watch your way idiot" I said annoyed of his stupidity.

He 'Wow'ed when he saw the trunk. There was something else up there, something big and black. "That must be the innocence." I pointed to the black lotus upon us. Lavi looked there and smiled "Is that all?" He said. " Then stay here, I'll go and grab it" he continued. I didn't say any word 'cause I had already seen the future about his move!

He roled his hammer in his hand "ozduchi kodzuchi," And landed it on the ground "Extend" He said and the hammer extended. But he couldn't go far 'cause one of the roots hit him and he lied on the ground. I went near him "Dumbass, did you really think getting that innocence is that much easy?" I nagged. He sat scratching his head" Have a better idea?" He looked straight into my eyes. I looked up "You'll shoot me." I said simply. "what?" He looked confused at me. "tch..." I said dissappointed " You'll shoot me with that hammer of yours up to the flower and I'll cut off the branches in my way and get the innocence and come back!" I explained. He stood up "DOES THE WHOLE OF IT MEAN THOSE THREE WORDS?" He shouted. "Just do what I say!" I ordered. "Nah, whatever..." He took his position "odzuchi kodzuchi, Grow!" The hammer grew I took out Mugen and activated it. I jumped on the hammer and Lavi shooted me with all of his strength. As I'd said, I cut off the roots and reached the top.

There was a black lotus at the center and branches to protect it. I cut them off but the grew again and again. "Second illusion, Underground insects" I shouted, now my way was open. I used the chance and jumped on the flower.

It was pitch black, not like the lotuses in my world. I raised mugen and landed it on the center of the flower, It started shining, brighter and brighter. I closed my eyes and then, the ground beneath me spilt.

"Yu! Yu!" I heared an annoying voice calling my first name and annoying me more. I opened my eyes and saw a pair of eyes - one green and the other under the eyepatch- infront of mine. "What happened?" I sat on the ground. "We did it." Said Lavi showing me a green power in his hand, Innocence. I stood up, relieved, and looked for an exit. The whole place was destroyed. There was just one beautiful thing around; The Black Lotus was in it's normal shape now. Calm and quiet, in the middle of the lagoon. I turned "Let's go." And started walking.

Out there was calm and quiet, Despite the sound of burning woods like hell, there was no other sound.

"So you're back!" I heared a familiar voice. Melody was waiting for us in front of a house. Lavi throw the innocence to her "Sure we did!" He winked. Melody roled her eyes, as expected, and threw it back to me!

"Fine then let's get going" she turned back to live.

We took a few steps but then, Melody stopped. Blood shed infront of her, and her hands were in front of her neck!
