Louis' POV
The nerves set in as I walked up to the long line snaking around the building. The line must contain at least a thousand or more people. Wow I never thought I would be against so many people.
I'm trying out for X Factor on this delightfully bittersweet morning. To tell you the truth, this whole day had so far been shit.
I had set multiple alarms for myself to wake up. They began at five thirty in the morning, up until a quarter past six. But, I had somehow slept through the blasting noises of my alarm clock on full volume. So it was a late start to the day that chose my destiny. Of course that is not all that happened.
I jumped in the shower and washed my hair, and of course getting soap in my eyes. I then brushed my teeth and got toothpaste all over. Gladly I had not gotten dressed yet. Deciding I needed to shave, I grabbed my razor and shaving cream and got to work.
Soon enough, I walked into my bedroom to grab the clothes I chosen and set out last night. I threw them on and looked into the mirror deciding that my ensemble wasn't quite finished. I put on my best tie just to complete my look.
Giving myself a once over, I saw one of my signature looks; jeans, blue button up shirt, a cream colored cardigan and of course my black tie. Dropping my hands to my sides and into my pockets, I half walked half ran downstairs.
My mum was cleaning up the kitchen as usual with my four sisters bickering and playing around her. I just then noticed an unfamiliar women off to the side of the chaos. She had long blonde hair, blue eyes and looked to be about my age or a bit older.
"Hi, you must be Louis?" The strange woman asked. "Yes and may I ask who you are?" I inquired. "Oh sorry! I'm May, I'm going to be watching the girls every so often." She said. "Oh okay." I replied.
"Mum we have to go or we're going to be late!" I exclaimed, running out of the door into the garage. "Coming, coming!" She spouted from the kitchen as I jumped in the car and turned the key.
Nothing.
Again.
Nothing.
Of course this would happen today, of course.
My mum, Jay, had opened up the garage door, so I trudged to the next door neighbors house. I looked down at my watch. It was 7 a.m. Wait it's 7?!
"Damn." I muttered under my breath. I jogged the rest of the way up the neighbor's sidewalk and up to their front door. Knocking lightly on the detailed wooden door, I stepped back a bit. My neighbor, Joe, had answered the door looking to be in a rather joyful mood as always.
"Sorry to bother you so early, but could I plug my car into yours so I an get it to start up again?" I questioned lightly. "Oh of course! Anything for my future star!" Joe said in his always cheerful voice.
Everyone in our neighborhood had somehow learned of my X Factor audition. My mum says she had nothing to do with it but I have a feeling that it was her. She tends to talk to anyone and everyone that will listen about mine and my sisters accomplishments. I love that she does this because it shows how much she cares, but she could talk for hours.
Joe grabbed his keys and headed towards his garage. I quickly ran back to my car and grabbed the cables. Thankfully, Joe had been fast and his car was pulling into my driveway. My neighbor and I attached the cables with precision. I jumped into the front seat of my car and turned the key.
There it was! The engine had started! Finally I could get on my way to the auditions.
I gratefully thanked Joe as he began pulling out of their driveway. Sliding back into the front seat, my mum on my left, we shut the garage door and set off toward the building.
