Chapter 5:Bonding With Sam

Chapter Five

(Alyanna's P.O.V)

"Good morning,Sam.I prepared breakfast.Come on let's eat",I greeted Samantha.She's walking towards the dining table rubbing away dried rheums on her eye.

"You really cooked huh?What's the menu by the way?"she asked sleepily.

"We have cheesedogs,fried rice and eggs.For the beverage,we have milk and water",I presented the food happily.She eyed on me with the contorts on her face.

"What?!No way that's too much calories!I'm sorry but I won't eat that.I rather eat cereals."

"Are you sure it's going to be enough?Do you get yourself full with cereals?"I sound very unsure.

"Of course!And honestly,I need to be fit.I'm starting to bloat.I don't wanna be called a fat ass,you know",she explained.

I think that we have exchanged facial expressions.I now have deep contortions on my face.

"Is that how you define'FIT'?Starving youreself?!You're too skinny.Have some flesh!"

She rolled her eyes at me.

"Ok.I'll eat some of your masterpiece.Just a bit.Is that fine?"

I smiled sweetly.

"Thanks.But it's not my masterpiece.Don't worry I'll let you taste some.Anyways,are you going somewhere today?"

"Yeah.Why?"she responded.Her mouth full of fried rice.

"I wanna come.I wanna socialize.Know new friends and be familiar with the place."

Her eyes widened with disbelief.

"Are you sure?You have work today",she uttered with disbelief.

"To be honest,I got a break.It's not that I'm already out of my job at the catering service.But my boss.decided to give me a vacation.To unwind and refresh myself.So I decided to atleast hang out with you.I wanna feel alive.I want to enjoy my last teenage year."

"That's good news.I.guarantee you that it will be fun.You'll enjoy it.Renew yourself and meet some guys."

"Ahm excuse me.I don't mean meeting guys for anything.And what's with me to renew?"

"Oh come on,Alyanna Michaella Rodriguez!Wear some make-up and dress like your age.I swear I'm itching to make a whole self make over to you.For free,of course."

"Can I come just myself?I don't want make up!"

"Fine.You win.I'll have my fingers crossed not to apply make-ups to you.At least,you're finally hanging out with me."Couple of hours after,we're strolling and window shopping in the mall.Then we ate in Mcdonald's for lunch.I really enjoy this day.Funny,but I look like ignorant with all that I see.I talked and talked.I really do missed everything so much.Sam's right when she told me that I'll surely have fun.Later that day,I got home around two in the afternoon without being lost.Sam said she'll go to her friend.I have my shift at 5pm in the bakery so I decided to take a short sleep to regain my strength.After work,I sleep again.See,I'm serious when I say that I'm going to have lots of sleep.I woke up when someone is shaking me off.

"Yanna,wake up.Wanna come with me?"It was Sam.

"Samantha,don't you know anything better than cutting someone's beauty sleep?",I frowned.

"You said you wanna hang out with me.Well,now's the time!Get dressed."

"At this late?!You sure?!"

"Do I look kidding?Of course.We'll be partying.So come on",she said desperately.

I finally gave in.I won't be able to get back to sleep.We went to a place.Who-knows-where,I don't really care what's going on.I just let Sam drive and never asked questions.My head aches.It's 11pm.

I was really shocked when we arrived.Why not?I saw girls and boys kissing in the dark.What place is this?!I elbowed Sam and asked her.Guess what did she say?

"Leave them alone.Mind your own business."I almost freaked out .

"I wanna go home.I don't want this kind of hang out.I'd rather be home and sleeping."

"Chillax,friend.Just enjoy yourself",she consoled me.

I'm still whimpering when a guy came towards us.

"Good evening,ladies.Mind if I join you?"he asked.I just gave him a half-hearted smile.Sam spoke then.

"Sure.I was actually leaving and go find my other friends.Acknowledge them that I arrive you know.Can I ask you to join Alyanna here while I'm away?"

"I'm more willing.By the way,Drew's my name and you are?",he replied

"I'm Samantha.I'll just let my friend to introduce herself.I gotta go.Bye.Take care of her."She waved her hands.I was left with the stranger dumbfounded.How could she disturb me in my sleep to go with her and just leave me with someone I barely know.We were both silent.Me and Drew,if I'm right,were just staring with the pairs on the dance floor.He was the one who broke it.

"You're Alyanna,right.Nice meeting you.First time to be here?"

"Uhm.Yeah,Drew?I'm sorry if Sam bothered you to be with me.You can join the others.I'm fine sitting here."

"N-no it isn't.I want to sit.I'm just tired.British?"

"No."

"Do you feel awkward?Or something?Strange.It's cold but you're sweating."

"A bit."

"Because of me?"

"I'm sorry.I'm not comfortable.I saw some pairs kissing.The girls here wear less although it's cold.I just don't get it."

"I see.It seems you don't go partying at all.And for you to know,teens here are kinda liberated.You'll get used to it.And be calm,I won't do anything harmful."

And with that he just said,I tried to be comfortable with him.He made me laugh.I enjoyed the night after all.At the end,we turned to be friends.Sam keeps on giving me malicious smiles but I ignored it.I have a new friend.
