chapter 8

As I walked into camp everyone stared at me. I just ignored them and headed over to Poseidon's table. There was another kid there named Orion. He glared at me and continued eating. I sat down at the table before he stood up pulling out his sword.
"What are you doing here?" He asked glaring at me,"go back to your pack of mutts."
"Watch the way you talk about a goddess, expescially ones who deserve respect." Was all I said before taking a bite of steak.
"What ever you say all mighty." He said mock bowing. I just ignored him and continued eating.
He started messing with the water and after a lot of concentration he finally got the water out of the cup but before be could do anything I willed the water to go the other way. It splashed all over his face. Before he could do anything a camper came running down the hill. "Monsters, monsters!" I jumped up and ran to battle. Some how on the way up the hill the guardians got into formation then the demigods followed after. I was in the front of the crowd. As I reached the crest of the hill all of my armor was on. It was black with silver swirls that created the head of a wolf. I charged down the hill and started swing my sword at the enemy. Soon the army went from 500 to 50 monsters. As we circled the monsters giant hands erupted from the ground. They grabbed 2 guardians and 4 demigods. They crushed their victims before disappearing into the ground again. The commotion gave the monsters enough time to run. I ran after them, hunting them to get my revenge.

As I was hunting down the last group of monsters I came to a cabin. It was hidden deep in some woods. I could pick up the sounds of crying so I ran into the cabin and came face to face with girls of all ages locked away in cages. The sight made my blood boil. Before I could do anything laughing came from behind me. I turned around to see a group of monsters standing behind me. I grabbed my bow before killing half of them. After a second the other half of monsters rushed me. I sent four more arrows before pulling out my sword and killing the rest of them.
As soon as they were dead I used my sword to break the chains off of the cages and carried the girls out of the cabin one by one. Soon the cabin was empty and all of the girls were huddles on the grass out side. I prayed to Artemis to come to me and a few seconds later she was there.
"I was in the middle of a meeting Percy this better have been impor-" she stopped as she turned around to face all of the girls.
"I just found them all."
"How many are there? Are they humans?"
"573 and a its a mix of demigods and humans although I don't think they know."
"Are they all girls?"
"Yes"
Before Artemis could reply one of the girls walked up to us. She was at least five and had eyes as black as volcanic rock, she was one of the demigods in the group. " are you my mama?" She asked looking up to Arty. Arty looked at here stunned before picking her up "no I'm not your mama." The girl looked said before pointing at me"your a hero."
I smiled and nodded"yes I'm a hero."
She clapped then o thought of something "what's your name little one?"
"Zoë"
