chapter 12

¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶Percy POV ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶
When I woke up arty was still sleeping on my chest as Cosmo lay on the floor kicking his feet as if running. I chuckled at this and Arty groaned slightly. "Good morning moonlight." I whisper in her ear.
"That makes no sense seaweed brain." She mumbled into my chest.
"Well would you rather me call you sunshine?" I question as I get up." You also have to bless all of the girls, they are ready to go back. I am also ready to go on my quest." She stares at me as I get dressed.
"I need new clothes, I can't use my power here." I summon her a shirt pants and a cloak before standing with my back to her. "Always such a gentleman" she laughs. I feel her come up behind me and hug my waist. "My mother taught me manners, before I had to leave." I  turn around and give her a hug. As I step back I kiss her forehead and grab her hand leading her down the tunnels. When I enter the cavern she is behind me and the hunters go quite. "It is time to meet your patron, Lady Artemis." I bring her out in front of me and the cheer. They all come up to her and she blessed them. Soon every girl was glowing with a dim silver light. I gently kissed Artemis before walking infront if the girls making them go quite. "ITS TIME! ITS TIME FOR YOU TO PROVE TO THE GODS THAT YOU ARE NOT JUST MORTALS, NO, THAT YOU ARE THE HUNTERS OF ARTEMIS!" As I finished my speech all of the hunters were cheering, banging their swords, hilt of their knives, spears, and fist against the tables and floor. The wolves walking around got caught up in the energy that was racing through the small cavern and started howling and yipping, running around. Artemis stood there wide eyed before looked at me. I smiled at her and found my way to her as she smiled back."that was quite inspirational." She kissed my cheek. "Everyone listen up, once we get to the border of Alaska then Artemis and I will teleport everyone to Olympus. Once their you will have to be careful to not let anyone see you." I grabbed Artemis' hand and led everybody out of the cave with the wolves trailing behind.

As we reached the border Artemis started glowing lightly. "You go ahead, the gods will miss you. We'll be there when the time comes."
"Ok" she kissed my cheek and flashed to Olympus.
"Alright girls, its time to get moving." We all started running through Canada, some of the girls in the trees and others in the brush around us.

After a while we stopped to take a break and eat. As we sat around a fire some of the girls sharpened their weapons while others ate deer, rabbit, boar, or squirrel. I sat in a tree watching them and noticed that a group of girls kept looking at each other like they were having a conversation with out words. I dropped down from my tree and walked over to them. " what's going on?" My voice was cold.
"Nothing." Tiffany answered but her voice shook.
"There are several things I don't like, would you like to guess what they are?" I looked at all of them but none spoke. I noticed that it had gotten quite and looked around to see everyone around us.
"No? That's fine I'll tell you,"  I stepped closer to them before continuing "I dont like liars, traitors, and abusers. You just lied to me, that's one strike, if you continue to lid and it turns out your a traitor to, then you'll be stripped of your blessing and left her alone. So would you like to restart?" I was glaring at all five of them.
"We were discussing if it would be a smart idea for us to leave the hunt, we mean because some of the girls are still so young like Zoë, that maybe they should be able to live a life before getting thrown into a war with giants." Donna spoke up.
I looked at Zoë and I felt bad for forcing this upon her" Would you like to be with your sisters Zoë? " I turned to the little girl and she nodded her head yes shyly. I nodded my head before putting my hand on her shoulder and sent her to be with her family. "Anyone else?" All of the girls under 12 were pushed forward and I sent them off. As I looked around the camp site I noticed that several wolves were walking around without a hunter. I walked over to them and gave them and touched their foreheads before collars appeared on them. Once the wolves without hunters had their collars I turned my attention back to the group behind me. "Let's get moving girls, next break isn't  until we reach Michigan.
