A Transition

Silence.

Then, a sudden daze

Grasping at any sort of bearings

Shadows dance in a chilling rhythm

A pulse

As sensory emerges from its slumber

The world suddenly under meticulous observation

Each incident thoroughly pondered

Wakefulness comes without invitation

Like a garbage truck

Steadily creeping up hill

While dreams still reside

A chill settles

Accompanied by fresh life

Eyes dart around

Clinging to any visible entity

Light slowly reveals itself

Making a dazzling appearance

And steadily grows

Performing its duties

It chases away nightmares

And stores away dreams

As the full morning

Comes into play
